A: There are actually about 139 stairs from the main street in Amalfi. We had to bring up our groceries and water a few at a time, so I think carrying a two year old or urging him on might be a problem. Also there are steep drops from one of the balconies on the side of the apt. It made me dizzy to look down and if I would have had a small child with me I would have been nervous about it. It is a great apartment though and I hate to discourage you, but in my opinion I would not bring a two year old to that apartment. I loved being in Amalfi but I think another apt. would be best. I will be glad to answer any more questions.
A: We really enjoyed this property which is very well maintained, in the center of Amalfi but includes lot of steps. I think over 110. I would think that someone would have to carry a 2 year old and all of their stuff up those stairs. That could be tough.
