	It’s a fun place to wander. The best beaches lie across the bay, near Rota and Chipiona. Don’t bother in July or August, though; they’re mobbed. This is sherry territory. Sample the local specialty in Puerto de Santa Maria, which can be easily accessed by ship from Cadiz.
