Come experience life like a local at this villa on the northwest coast of Crete. You can take a stroll to a nearby pebble beach, or enjoy a poolside meal prepared on your barbeque. The town of Maleme is within walking distance, so there are plenty of tavernas, cafes, shops, and restaurants to visit, and lots of coastline to explore.

Location Description

This villa is located on the northwestern side of Crete, 100 meters from a pebble beach, on the outskirts of the town of Maleme. Maleme has beaches, tavernas, cafes, a bakery, markets, and a pharmacy. There’s also a cemetery honoring those who lost their lives in 1941 during the German attack on Crete. The nearby village of Platanias is one of the most popular destinations in western Crete, and features sandy beaches, shops, restaurants, and night life. Of course you'll also want to visit Chania, which is the second largest city in Crete. There are museums, opportunities to play water sports like windsurfing and sailing, shops, and much more! There are also annual festivals held throughout the year in the different villages of Crete, so be sure to participate in the festivities.

This property was built in 2004 and is surrounded by a stone wall for privacy. The grounds are covered with grass, some small trees, and potted plants, and there is a covered parking space and a barbeque. The private pool (38 m2) has sun loungers, umbrellas, and a table and chairs nearby, and there are sea views from the balconies.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: This floor has the main entrance, which leads to an open plan living room and dining room, with sofas, a table and chairs, and a kitchen equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, kettle, coffee maker, and toaster. There is a bedroom on this floor with twin-beds (90 cm). There is also a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet.

First Floor: A stairway leads to the this floor, which has two bedrooms. The first has a small queen-size bed (150 cm; the standard size of queen-size beds in the U.S. is 160 cm). The second has twin-beds (90 cm). There is a bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, and sink. The bedrooms open onto balconies with sea views.

• Queen beds: We have listed them as 150 cm wide. A 160 cm bed is the standard size for a U.S. queen-size bed; therefore, a 150 cm wide bed is narrow by U.S. standards.
