Within walking distance to the medieval village of Trebes, this family villa is well located for strolling along the popular Canal du Midi. In addition, there is a private pool and close proximity to the impressive city of Carcassonne.

Location Description

The property is in the outskirts of the Canal du Midi in the bustling town of Trebes. All restaurants and amenities including a pharmacy, banks, café/bar, bakery, butchers, and groceries are 5 minutes walking distance away. Two blocks away is a bus route that travels to Carcassonne center every half an hour. Carcassonne is a fortified town that will allow you to step back in time as you walk along the narrow cobblestone alleys. Visit the Basilica of Saint Nazaire, a cathedral from the 11th century often referred to as the “Jewel of the City,” and the Museum of the Middle Ages. The closest beaches are in Narbonne, a small town along the coast full of good pizzerias and dessert shops, and the amazing city of Toulouse is perfect for a day trip. The A61 Autoroute to access Toulouse and the west coast and Narbonne/Montpellier is only 6 minutes away.

Nearby Attractions: Two major sites classified in the UNESCO’s list of Universal Heritage are the extraordinary Cité de Carcassonne, a fortified town restored to its original luster and The Canal du Midi, a fluvial link between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean built during the 17th century. Exterior Description

The grounds are walled and secure. A pretty, stoned garden, encircled by flower boxes is next to a large private pool, fenced and enclosed for safety, and sun bathing area, complete with sun loungers. A built-in BBQ, with outside table and chairs completes the restful and idyllic scene. The roads are paved and well-kept and there is on-street parking.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: This villa has a sitting area with dining table and chairs with a fireplace and local TV with a DVD player. There is also a formal dining room with table and seating for 6 persons. The galley kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, and dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer combination. There is a small study/office and a guest bathroom with a toilet. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor. The first has two twin beds (90 cm) and the second has a king size bed (180 cm). Stairs lead down to the private sun bathing and pool/garden area.

Garden/Basement Floor: This floor features a double bedroom with a king size bed (180 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, washroom and WC. There is a separate and dedicated summer kitchen with table and chairs and large French doors leading to the pool and sun bathing area.

First Floor: A large double bedroom has a king size bed (180 cm), and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, washroom, and WC.
