From the inimitable Provencal sunlight in spring and summer to cozy winter days, the beauty of the French countryside is showcased year-round at this well-appointed villa close to Saint-Remy-de-Provence. Ideal for a family with children, the villa has an interior game room and fully fenced grounds dotted with fountains, ponds, olive trees, a pool and an outdoor kitchen for alfresco dining. There is a small 3-tiered annex that will accommodate a couple or a small family with two children.

Location Description

The villa is located 2 km from Saint-Remy-de-Provence, where there are excellent shops, quiet cafes, restaurants, galleries and a popular Wednesday market. Those who wish to walk may reach town within 20 minutes – the route begins on a path shared with a minimal amount of cars, then continues on a village sidewalk. Saint Remy is only 18 km from the large city of Avignon, home to a famous theater festival, art galleries, cultural events, gastronomic restaurants and a TGV station. Situated between the Luberon, Camargue and Cevennes, Saint Remy is only 45 minutes by car from the Marseille International Airport.

Exterior Description

The enclosed grounds are filled with a magnificent olive grove, ponds, fountains and lawns. There is a heated infinity pool and a summer kitchen with a barbecue and bar that opens onto the covered terrace, which is equipped with a Bose sound system, couches, cushy armchairs and sunbeds. There is also a pétanque court as well as free onsite parking for 4 to 5 vehicles. There is a small 3-tiered annex nearby that was formerly a pigeon loft. It has a terrace with lounge chairs and an iron table with 4 chairs.

Interior Description

Main Villa (400 m2/ 4,305 ft2)
Ground Floor: There is an open living room with high ceilings, two couches, tables, a fireplace, TV, DVD player and music system. The adjacent dining room has a table for 12, as well as additional seating around the counter bar off the open kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a stove with 5 gas burners, 2 ovens, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, American coffee maker and professional espresso maker. There are five air-conditioned bedrooms on this floor. The first bedroom (10 m2) overlooks the garden and has a queen-size bed (160 cm) and ensuite bathroom with a shower, double sinks and a toilet. The second bedroom (30 m2) has queen-size bed (160 cm), ensuite bathroom with a shower, bathtub, sink and toilet. There is also a glass door that leads to the garden and to the pool area. The third bedroom (26 m2) has a queen-size bed (160 cm), glass-enclosed ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet, and a private terrace with views of the Alpilles. The fourth bedroom (30 m2) overlooks the pool and has a queen-size bed (160 cm), ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet, plus a private terrace. The fifth bedroom (25 m2) has queen-size bed (160 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, bathtub and sink. There is a toilet room in the hallway near the bedroom. Laundry facilities include a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron and board and vacuum.
First Floor: This area is ideal for children and has a playroom filled with costumes, toys and a large flat-screen TV. There are three bedrooms which share a bathroom that has a shower, bathtub and sink, as well as a separate toilet nearby. The first bedroom has a standard double bed (140 cm, comfortable for one and cozy for two) and a fan. The second bedroom has a single bed (90 cm) and a fan. The third bedroom has a king-size bed (180 cm), a single bed (90 cm) and a fan.

Le Pigeonnier
Ground Floor: There is a sitting/dining/kitchen room with a couch, table, TV and DVD player. The kitchenette has a 4-burner cook top, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The bathroom has a walk-in marble shower, WC, and sink.
First Floor (up ladder stairs): There is a double bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 cm) and a dresser.
Second Floor Loft (up another set of ladder stairs): The loft is narrow and only large enough for a standard double bed (wall-to-wall) of 140 cm and a mobile AC unit. This space is only appropriate for one or two children, 7-10 years of age.

Please Note:

• The villa + Le Pigeonnaire sleeps up to 12 adults and 8 children. A child is considered to be under 10 years of age.
• The double beds on the ground floor have pillow-top mattresses and superior Simmons bedding.
• All five ground-floor bedrooms are air conditioned, the others are equipped with fans.
• The ground floor has floor heating, the first floor has electrical heating.
• Each bathroom has a towel dryer that provides heat for the bathrooms.
• WiFi extends to the pool area.
• The villa features music systems throughout: There is a Bose stereo system in the living room and kitchen, where one can use Airplay or Bluetooth, as well as in the summer kitchen and on the covered terrace.
• Housekeeping is provided for 3 hours on Wednesdays.
• Le Pigeonnier has two ladder staircases (no railings), and the top-floor bed is small (140 cm, a standard double bed), and is positioned wall-to-wall. Because of the steep stairs the children should be between the ages of 7-10.
