Overall:
Nice apartment in perfect location. Easy access to sightseeing, Duomo, shopping, busline and train station, restaurants, medical facility... I loved our stay at this apartment. The other tenants in the building were friendly, too. Never got lost. Thus was a perfect central location with every amenity! Able to walk to anywhere we wanted to go!
Enjoyed Most:
Centralized location and homelike atmosphere!
Enjoyed Least:
The odd little tiny elevator, although happy to have had one.
Surrounding Area:
Close to everything! Couldn't get lost if you tried! Friendly neighborhood. Safe!
Tips or Restaurants:
Believe it or not there's a wonderful Irish Pub just around the corner. Also, Boca Luca is about a mile, walking distance, and absolutely wonderful....must have reservations, but well worth it!
Directions:
When we first arrived we got a cab, and found out later it had been a waste of money as we could easily have walked from the train station to the apartment. Get a street map before you go to Florence. We used GPS, but found the street maps to be better!
Check In Out:
We weren't able to phone a cab the day we left as they didn't answer or when they did they'd hang up... So, we started walking to the train station but were able to hail a cab a block from the apartment with no problem--cabbies everywhere.

Overall:
The location was great. The contact person met us right on time. The air conditioning was great and much needed.
Enjoyed Most:
This location was ideal as it was just minutes walking to the Duomo and the Ufizzi Gallery.
Enjoyed Least:
The elevator is SMALL but it sure beats walking up and down the steps.
Surrounding Area:
What can a person say other than how wonderful and charming Florence, Italy is.

Overall:
Wonderful!
Enjoyed Most:
Location. Security. We enjoyed the lift and got a good laugh from it. Also, we couldn't figure out how to get out of the iron gate to get to the lobby. Lorenzo, the keyholder made us feel very special. Wine and cookies in the unit upon arrival. Nice having a washing machine!
Enjoyed Least:
The sofa!
Surrounding Area:
We were within walking distance of all the major attractions, churches, museums, shopping markets, and great restaurants.
Nearby Events or Locales:
No small town nearby. However, we walked to Michelangelo's Hill in order to see the sun set over the city of Florence. Excellent.
Tips or Restaurants:
Just your personal hygiene items. There are restaurants everywhere and all seemed good to us.
Directions:
Used a taxi from the train station. No problems getting there or leaving there.
Check In Out:
Double-check with Rentvillas that you have the correct keyholder name and phone number.

Overall:
Florence was fabulous but the apartment left something to be desired.
Enjoyed Most:
The location was two blocks from the Duomo and therefore in a perfect location.
Enjoyed Least:
The noise during the night until about 5:30 AM was unbearable. They was a social club two doors away and the members were extremely loud well into the EARLY morning hours which made it difficult if not impossible to sleep.
Without our earplugs we would not have been able to get any sleep at all. The bathroom configuration was very strange and the kitchen extremely small. The shower was in the middle of the bathroom between the sink and the toilet. There was no shower doors and only two curtains prevented the water from covering the entire bathroom floor. Editor's Notes: The owner has confirmed that a new social club is located 50 meters away. He is having double-paned windows installed in this apartment this month. AC unit is planned for the winter. November 2011.
Surrounding Area:
Loved our entire surrounding area. Florence is such a beautiful city that there is nothing to dislike.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We spent basically most of the time in Florence proper with the exception of taking two trains to Lucca and Pisa.
Tips or Restaurants:
The apartment was well equipped and of course there were many restaurants available within a short walk.
Directions:
We took a taxi from the airport to the apartment at a cost of twenty Euros.
Check In Out:
You need a international cell phone to call the manager upon arrival. There were no working pay phones in the airport.
