Enjoyed Most:
It was a very pretty property, off the beaten path of the tourist area, yet close enough to get to the center of town.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Not enough keys available for the number of guests. There was also an unexpected visit from a cleaning person who came after two days to sweep the floor, not clean anything else, so not sure what the purpose of that visit was.
Surrounding Area:
Close to the park. We were there for the marathon and were able to see quite a bit of it.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring tea bags if you like tea. There is a grocery store - Esselunga, which is a 10-minute walk, where you can get the things you need. You have to pay for grocery bags, though, so you might want to recycle them.
Check In Out:
Inflexability with time of entry to apartment. We arrived in Florence at 11:30 am and were not able to get into the apartment until 3:00pm. We had to be out of the apartment by 9:00am on the day we left.

Overall:
This is a beautiful and confortable apartment that we really enjoyed.
Enjoyed Most:
The spacious rooms and the peace and quiet.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The parking situation The first few days we paid parking at a garage for almost 40.00 per day, until we saw that everyone was parking on No Parking posted signs. However, on the first Sunday at 200 a.m. the police and towing trucks were taking all vehicles parked there. We were lucky enough to get down in time to move the car.
There didn't seem to be enough hot water for six people to shower. Also, it would be nice to have a stereo for CD's or a radio. We were told we had a wonderful view from the roof top deck, but is was locked the whole time.
Surrounding Area:
We enjoyed the fact that everything was within walking distance, downtown, shops, restaurants, etc.
Tips or Restaurants:
La Rotanda, was a nice restaurant we enjoyed a lot and went there twice.
