This is a beautiful apartment within the ancient walls of Avignon. Decorated with warm, wooden walls, parquet floors and antiques, this three bedroom apartment also boasts a private garden and garage. Behind this apartment is the Pope’s Palace as well as several of Avignon’s famous restaurants. It is a wonderful retreat for friends or family.

Location Description

Within the walls of Avignon, located behind the Pope palace, is this private apartment just a few steps from the most famous restaurants in Avignon: la Mirande and Christan Etienne. A city bordered by medieval walls, Avignon is full of winding streets and ancients buildings home to shops, restaurants, and markets. Energetic and lively, partly because of its university, Avignon has countless activities and places to see. The noteworthy sites include the Palais des Papes, the Musee Carnavalet, and the Notre Dame des Doms cathedral. Great day trip destinations in the region include St-Remy-de-Provence and Cavaillon.

Exterior Description

Located on the ground floor of an 18th century townhouse behind the Pope’s palace, this apartment has a private garage (27 m2) and a large, landscaped, furnished garden (500 m2) with a fountain.

Interior Description

(260 m2)
Ground Floor: From the entrance, the living room (35 m2) is furnished with leather sofas, a TV (satellite), CD player, and an ancient fireplace. There is a dining room (25 m2) which leads to a small, fully-equipped kitchen with a US fridge, microwave, 4 burners, oven, and dish washer. The kitchen opens directly onto a wide dining room (60 m2), the “Orangerie”, with tables, sofas, vases d'Anduze and access to the garden. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, a guest toilet. A computer with internet is available.
The first bedroom is a small, single bedroom (11 m2) with a single bed and a desk. There is an independent bathroom with a tub and toilet. The second bedroom (35 m2) opens directly on the “Orangerie”. It has a large king size bed (200 cm x 200 cm, which can be separated), TV, grand piano, and an ensuite bathroom with tub, Italian style shower, and toilet. The third bedroom is located at the back of the apartment with a king size bed (2 x 90 cm), TV and an ensuite bathroom with a tub, Italian style shower, and toilet.
