Location Description

Poggibonsi is the nearest town to the estate at just two kilometers away. Here you will find markets, shops, and restaurants. If you travel just a bit further, you will reach San Gimignano, one of the most visited villages in Tuscany. San Gimignano is well known for its towers and rich history dating back to Etruscan times. It has seen many ups and downs throughout history, but San Gimignano has survived, and today it is very well preserved-- almost just as it was in its medieval prime! It is a wonderful place to wander and explore, and major sights include the 12th century Duomo, the People's Palace, and museums dedicated to artwork and archeology. There are also countless other churches, buildings, and fortresses to see. A train station in Poggibonsi can connect you to Siena, Florence, or Pisa, making the trip quick and convenient.

Exterior Description

This ancient villa dates back to the 17th century and is set in a quiet location within the hills of the Tuscany countryside. The garden is decorated with fountains and ponds filled with fish and water lilies. There are century-old cypresses, lanterns, and small private paths. The private swimming pool (15m x 7m) is situated 50 meters from the villa, guaranteeing privacy. There is an outdoor barbecue, bread oven, and gazebo with a table. The villa is attached to the owner’s house but has a private park, gate, and swimming pool. The pool is open from the beginning of May to the end of September. Access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road and parking is available within the grounds.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: The living room is furnished with couches, satellite TV, a DVD player, fireplace, and piano. There is an office with a desk, couch, armchair, and bookshelf as well as high speed wireless internet access. This room has a private entrance to the outside garden. The dining room has a table with chairs as well as an armoire with different drinking glasses. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, cook-top, freezer, dishwasher, American coffee maker, and toaster. There is also bar seating and stools. A few steps higher is a storeroom with a microwave and freezer. There is also access to an outdoor laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, ironing facilities, shower, and toilet.

First Floor: There is a living room with elegant couches, a fireplace, and decorated with frescoes. There are three bedrooms on this floor. The first bedroom is furnished with a single bed (90 cm). The second bedroom has two single beds (90 cm) and an extra folding bed. The third bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed (160 cm). There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower.

Second Floor: There are four more bedrooms on this floor. The first and second are each furnished with a queen-sized bed (160 cm). The third is furnished with two single beds (90 cm). There is a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower. The fourth bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed (160 cm) and has its own fireplace and en suite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower.
