Customer Reviews
Overall:
We loved the comfort and convenience of the property. Also the property owner gave us several restaurant recommendations that were awesome as well as a wonderful walking tour.
Enjoyed Most:
The convenience to various sites and the metro station. Easy access to any of the sites.
Enjoyed Least:
Nothing.
Surrounding Area:
Lots of restaurants and sightseeing options.
Tips or Restaurants:
Ask the property manager/owner.
Directions:
We took a taxi from the airport and he had no trouble finding the property.

Overall:
This property is fabulous. The location was excellent. The view of the Colosseum was sublime. The balcony was delightful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay at Palatina!
Enjoyed Most:
It's difficult to choose one thing. The balcony really made it lovely. Everything was very comfortable. We really appreciated the magnificent view of the Colosseum. It was great being so close to the Metro.
Enjoyed Least:
It was almost perfection aside from the rather loud music that emanated from the restaurant below in the evenings. Even that little quirk was ok for a week, as it added to the charm of the city experience. It might not be so charming for a long duration. I did start to get bothered by the noise, most especially on the weekends when they turn it up another notch. Editor’s Note: The owner has confirmed that there is a bar on the ground floor of the building, but there is no music played by the bar. It can happen that people play their own music, however, especially on weekends. July 2013.
Surrounding Area:
The view of the Colosseum and the close proximity to the Metro station.
Tips or Restaurants:
The prices at the restaurants on the corresponding street facing the Colosseum were high, but worth the experience. The food was good and it was nice to have a decent meal and a drink and be able to walk around the corner to the apartment.
The best meal we had in Rome was at an establishment called The Library on Vicolo della Cancelleria 7. It was amazing and very memorable.
Directions:
We used a GPS. It was a little tricky with the one-way streets surrounding the apartment, but we eventually found our way.
Check In Out:
Everything worked out very well!

Overall:
Very good.
Enjoyed Most:
Proximity to historic sites, metro, and taxi stands. The apartment was also very comfortable.
Enjoyed Least:
Lack of ample hot water and the shower drains were slow. In all fairness though, we did not call the owner to complain!
Surrounding Area:
The ambiance of the surrounding neighborhoods.
Tips or Restaurants:
Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. Take bags if you go to the grocery store as they charge for the bags.
Directions:
We had a hired car take us to the apartment from the airport.
