    Customer Reviews

    Overall:
We had an outstanding time. The view of Rapallo from the property was fantastic.
    Enjoyed Most:
The view was the best, but the grounds were fantastic. The owners were very nice. We never knew that they were around.
    Enjoyed Least:
Not much, overall is was great. Even the driveway, which was always interesting since it was fairly steep. Once you got the hang of it, it turned out to be an exciting way to finish the day.
    Surrounding Area:
I think Rapallo is probably the best of surrounding towns, many eating options, great grocery store, and the tourists are generally Italian.
    Nearby Events or Locales:
You could walk to Rapallo but it would be difficult. Parking in Rapallo as in most Italian coastal towns is always a challenge.
    Tips or Restaurants:
Towels, but of course, you really can't do that if you are coming from the US. So some consideration needs to be given by the owners. They just gave us a single set for the three of us. All restaurant experiences were good, but it really helps to learn to speak a little Italian.
    Directions:
GPS really helped. Calling ahead is definitely necessary.
    Check In Out:
We had to leave early on our last day, but the owner was very accommodating.

    Overall:
Overall the stay in Rapallo and the Villa Lussureggiante was pleasant. The Villa is basic compared to our stay in Tuscany our second week of the holiday, but the view is stunning.
    Enjoyed Most:
    The view is stunning.
    Enjoyed Least:
The drive to-from the villa everyday is a lot for a family with small children or older people we had both. This detracted from us choosing to go out in the evening as it is quite an ordeal packing up to leave for the day since we had no plans to continuously return to the villa once we set off.
    Surrounding Area:
The surrounding area is lovely. All of the places we visited Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, and the five towns of Cinque Terra were lovely. Even Genoa was pleasant once we navigated our way to the old port.
    Tips or Restaurants:
To bring mosquito nets and insect repellent. Rent a four-wheel drive car to get round the acute bend once you drive up the private road to the villa.

    Overall:
We enjoyed the Villa and surrounding area very much!
    Enjoyed Most:
    The view was great.
    Enjoyed Least:
The driveway was a little tricky to drive up and down and there was quite a long steep walk from the driveway up to the house. The house and view was well worth the effort, though!
    Surrounding Area:
We enjoyed visiting many towns and cities in the area.
    Nearby Events or Locales:
The nearest town was Rapallo and was about 10 minutes drive.
    Tips or Restaurants:
Just for people with physical limitations to be aware that it is a long steep walk from the driveway to the house. The house and the view is well worth the hike up to the house though!
    Directions:
    The instructions were very good.
    Check In Out:
The couple who greeted us were great and very smooth check in and check out. We had some special requests that they accommodated us very kindly.
