Location Description

The farmhouse is located 700 meters from the nearest village of Monticchiello, which is home to a couple of restaurants, food shops, and bakery. If you're looking for a town that has restaurants, markets, shops, banks, a pharmacy, post office, and gas station, visit Pienza which is located five kilometers from the property. The history of Pienza (or Citta di Pio) is closely linked to Pope Pius II, known as the great humanist. In 1458 he transformed this ancient town, his birthplace, into a perfect example of architectural and urban design. Judging by the attention this gorgeous town still gets today, his ambitious project was a success, attracting visitors from all over the world. The main attractions include the Palazzo Piccolomini and the Duomo. Great day trips through the region are to the hilltop town of Cortona or the culturally rich city of Siena.

Exterior Description

(150 hectares) This brick farmhouse is situated in a large garden where grain, sun flowers, and olives are cultivated. The garden is fenced and features flowers, trees, and plants. A patio is furnished with a barbecue and a table with chairs, and there is a path leading through the landscaped lawn and private swimming pool (6m x 12m). Please be aware that the owner lives in a private section of the farmhouse but has a completely independent entrance. The garden situated just off the patio is private for guests of the farmhouse. Access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road of about a kilometer and covered parking is available within the property grounds.

Ground floor: The entrance leads to the combined living and dining room which has Tuscan-inspired couches, chairs, satellite TV, and a dining table with chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, toaster, Italian coffee maker, American coffee maker, tea kettle, and dishwasher, as well as a table with four chairs.
First floor: A brick staircase with 19 steps leads up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first bedroom has a 180 cm king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The second bedroom has two narrow 85 cm single beds and the second bathroom has a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower.
