Not only is it just three kilometers from the nearest town, this self-catering accommodation is also day trip distance away from San Gimignano, Certaldo, and Siena!

Location Description

The property is located three kilometers from Poggibonsi, where there are shops and a railway station, and six kilometers from Barberino Val d'Elsa where there are shops, restaurants, a great pizzeria, a market, a bank, and a post office. Dating back to the Middle Ages, Barberino Val d'Elsa marks the midway point between Siena and Florence. The village has an ancient church, castle, chapel, and beautiful views of the olive groves and vineyards that make up much of the Chianti Classico region. San Gimignano is a great place to go for a day trip. As one of the most visited towns in Tuscany, it is known for its rich history dating back to the Etruscan times. It is full of life and things to do. Popular attractions include the famous towers, the 12th century Duomo, the People's Palace, and several museums dedicated to artwork and archeology. There are also plenty of wine tasting tours, art galleries, shops, and delicious restaurants. Numerous celebrations and gatherings are held every year including a music festival featuring theater, ballet, and opera performances, and a Medieval Harvest festival where the people of San Gimignano dress up as knights, play medieval games, and have tournaments. Of course, you'll also want to visit Florence and Siena during your trip and a train station in Certaldo, which is only 20 minutes away from the property, can get you there easily and conveniently.

Exterior Description

Dating back to the 17th century this stone villa has been carefully restored while maintaining its original architecture and charm. Set in a quiet and panoramic position, the villa features a garden with a landscaped grass area, flowers, and plants. There is a terrace furnished with a table, chairs, and pergola accessible from the kitchen. The villa also features a solarium, a private swimming pool (7m x 14m), and a changing room with a fridge, sauna, and shower. Parking is available in the garage.

Ground Floor: There is a living room with couches, satellite TV, and a fireplace. There is a dining area with a table and chairs and the kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, and dishwasher as well as a table with chairs and access to the terrace.

Four steps lower: There is a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and Jacuzzi tub.

Seven steps lower: A staircase leads down to the garage where there is a washing machine and shower.

Mezzanine: There is one bedroom with a 160 cm queen-sized bed, access to a terrace, and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.

First Floor: There are two bedrooms and one bathroom on this floor. The first bedroom has a 160 cm queen-sized bed and the second bedroom has two 90 cm single beds. The bathroom has a sink, toilet, and shower. There is also an open loft overlooking the living room with two 90 cm single beds.
