About The Experience

Overlooking the Tevere River Valley, which is on the border of Umbria and Lazio, is where this vacation rental rests. In addition to panoramic views, this Italian villa has a private swimming pool and beautifully furnished terraced grounds. Private and independent, this holiday accommodation is just right for a family, as the town of Otricoli (and its fun springtime fair!) is still just a few minutes drive away.

Location Description

The property is located three kilometers from Otricoli, a town situated high on a hill with fantastic views. In the heart of the town is an ancient archeological site of Ocriculum, an early Umbrian settlement that was reconstructed during the Renaissance. Otricoli is home to a nice selection or shops, restaurants, and small markets as well as an ancient church. A fair is held each spring, or 40 days after Easter, showcasing the local products and culture. A beautiful and fascinating city to visit many times is Orvieto, a city built on volcano tufa rock with a magnificent Duomo and charming streets. It also features once secret labyrinth of caves and tunnels that lie beneath the surface. Many homes of noble families where equipped with these passageways as a means of escape from times of siege. Guided tours are now offered for the visitor! Another possible daytrip destination is the Eternal City itself: Rome.

Exterior Description

Situated in a panoramic location with views over the Tevere River Valley, this villa is quiet and peaceful. There is a terrace furnished with a table and chairs that overlooks the garden. The garden, which is landscaped, features a private swimming pool (10m x 5m) surrounded by a sun deck with sun loungers. Access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road and parking is available within the property grounds.

Interior Description

Ground floor: There is a living room with a couch, chairs, and access to the terrace. A dining area has a table and chairs and the kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, American coffee maker, and dishwasher. The kitchen has access to the terrace as well. There is a service bathroom with a toilet on this floor.
Lower ground floor: A staircase leads down to a living room with a fireplace, couches, chairs, and satellite TV as well as access to the garden. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms on the floor. The first and second bedrooms each have two 90 cm single beds. The third and fourth bedrooms each have a 160 cm queen-sized bed. The first and second bathrooms each have a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower. The third bathroom has a sink, toilet, and shower.
