In its own charming hamlet overlooking the Couze Valley, this house built out of golden stone is an ideal accommodation for a family with children. Not only will a family enjoy swimming in the private pool, but perhaps taking a day trip or two the nearby Dordogne River for a picnic or canoe ride. The nearest town is short drive away and offers the perfect opportunity to experience the local lifestyle as you stroll through the cobblestone streets and pick up croissants at the bakery.

Location Description

The property is located four kilometers from the village of St Avit Senieur, which is known for its 11th century church that now looks like a fortress. You’ll also find a grocery store and bakery. An actual supermarket as well as more shops and restaurants can be found five kilometers away in the picturesque bastide (fortified) town of Beaumont-du-Perigord. There are also opportunities to go horseback riding, play tennis, and visit the library to learn more about the local culture. Day trips away from the property can include places such as Bergerac and Cahors. It’s also important to note that the Dordogne River is just 10 kilometers away where you can picnic, swim, fish, and canoe.

Exterior Description

Built in golden stone, this house is situated in a small hamlet outside of town. It overlooks the Couze Valley as well as some of the architecture from town, including the church. Outside there is a landscaped yard as well as a private swimming pool (8m x 4m) surrounded by a few chairs. Parking is available on the street in front of the property.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: There is a combined dining room and kitchen that has a table with chairs and is equipped with a cook-top, microwave, and dishwasher. This room also has French doors that open to the terrace. There is also a bathroom with a sink, shower, and separate toilet room.
A few steps lower: There is a utility room with a washing machine.
A few steps higher: There is a living room with two sofas and a TV (local channels only).

First Floor: A staircase leads up to two bedrooms. First bedroom has two 90 cm single beds. Second bedroom has two 90 cm single beds that can be converted into a double bed upon request. There is also one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower.

Second Floor: The staircase continues to a mezzanine where there are two more 90 cm single beds. The ceiling in this room is low (1.63 m); therefore, this room is only recommended for children.
