About The Experience

This property was originally settled by the Marquis Honorati, of the Marche family, and is still managed by his descendants. This lovely complex is comprised of the original 17th century villa, which has been recently restored, and three additional buildings nearby. There’s a uniquely-designed private pool (15 x 3 meters), which has spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The rustic garden has lovely old trees, flowers, and fragrant lavender, and there are multiple locations to sit in the shade and enjoy an al fresco meal.

Location Description

This villa is located in the relatively undiscovered Marche region of Italy, in the province of Ancona, which is known for its Sangiovese and Verdiccio wines, black truffles, and beaches. The nearest village, Ostra Vetere, has restaurants, shops, and cafes, and is 2.5 kilometers away and visible from the villa’s yard. A half hour away, the beach resort of Senigallia is popular with tourists, and is the gateway to seaside destinations up and down the coast, such as Fano and Pesaro. Day trips include Urbino, one of the country’s most beautiful hill towns, and the off-the-beaten-track village of Macerata.

Exterior Description

The rustic garden has lovely old trees, flowers, and fragrant lavender, and there are multiple locations to sit in the shade and enjoy an al fresco meal.

Interior Description

Main Villa (500 m2)
Ground floor: This floor has a living room with 3 sofas, 4 armchairs, TV, and a stereo. There is a dining room with a table, seating for 12, and a fireplace. There’s also a pool hall with a pool table, sofa, and armchairs. At the end of a hall, there is a study area with a writing table and 2 chairs. There is also a guest bathroom with a toilet and sink. The eat-in kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, and dishwasher.
First floor: There are five bedrooms on this floor. Four bedrooms have a queen-size bed (160 cm), while the fifth has a standard double bed (140 cm, comfortable for one, cozy for two). Three of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with a shower, sink, and toilet. There are two additional bathrooms with a bathtub, shower, sink, and toilet.
Attic: In the attic space there is a bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 cm), a panoramic view, a sitting room, and a bathroom with a sink, shower, and toilet.

Cottage 1 (75 m2)
This cottage has two bedrooms, one with twin-beds (90 cm) that can be arranged side-by-side to form a king-size bed upon prior request. The other bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm). There is a guest bathroom with a sink and toilet, and a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. There is also a kitchen and a living room.

Cottage 2 (88 m2)
This cottage has two bedrooms, one with twin-beds (90 cm) that can be arranged side-by-side to form a king-size bed upon prior request, and one with a standard double bed (140 cm, comfortable for one, cozy for two). There are two bathrooms, each with shower, sink, and toilet. There is a kitchen, a dining area, and a small reading room.

• Air Conditioning: One of the two-bedroom cottages is the only house on the estate with air conditioning.
• The twin-beds can be arranged side-by-side to form a king-size bed upon prior request.
• The caretaker lives in a small annex on the property and is available to offer assistance.
• Owner lives in an independent cottage on the premises.
