This beautiful two bedroom apartment in Praiano adds a little Greek flavor to your Italian holiday. Pure white walls accented with blue furnishings and decorations welcome two couples or a small family to relax and enjoy the spacious home and the even more spectacular views. With two terraces, one with an attractive garden and the other with a private pool, you will have a hard time leaving your home to explore the coast. Walk down to the sea or visit the nearby towns of Positano, Sorrento and Amalfi.

Location Description

This apartment is situated below the main street of Praiano, a small fishing village made up of houses scattered along the ridge of Monte S. Angelo down to the Mediterranean Sea. A small well-stocked supermarket is a short distance from the villa and about 400 meters away you will find coffee bars with internet facilities, a tourist information center, restaurants, a post office, shopping, and more! Visit Marina di Praia, a small and charming pebble beach surrounded by the houses and boats of local fishermen. It is dotted with small, authentic restaurants not to be missed by any seafood lover. If you do not have a problem with climbing steps, visit the small, delightful beach of “Gavitella”, located at the bottom of a small rocky inlet. The beach houses a restaurant with beach facilities, open during the summer season. La Gavitella can be reached either on foot, walking along a path that includes about 350 steps, or by sea using the local ferry service! The SITA bus stop, the long distance bus that goes to Amalfi and Sorrento, and the local bus stop, the shuttle bus that goes from Praiano to Positano, are situated at the beginning of the steps leading down to this apartment.

Nearby Attractions: In Praiano, a town characterized by its expansive views on the sea and its fishermen who dot the marina and bring fresh seafood to the authentic restaurants, you can enjoy numerous historical, architectural and naturalistic attractions. Its beach, La Cala of Gavitella, is the only beach on the Amalfi Coast illuminated until sunset at which time, be sure to join the locals at nearby wine bars such as Vivaro or Le Fioriere Cocktail and Wine Bar. Surrounding Praiano are several vineyards and a hiking trail, Sul Sentiero degli Dei, which stretches to Positano! In Positano, the main square Piazza dei Mulini offers restaurants and shops or head to one of the beaches such as Spiaggia del Fornillo.

Exterior Description

(400 m2) The apartment is reached by walking along a pedestrian street of about 400 meters and includes approximately 160 steps. It occupies the entire ground floor of a two-story building and has two large private gardens which offer wide views of the sea. The sea can be reached by walking along a communal staircase of about 250 steps which leads to a sunbathing terrace. The first terrace (240 m2) is at the entrance of the property. It is partly shaded by a pergola with a bamboo roof and is equipped with built-in stone white benches, armchairs and a sofa around a low coffee table. A dining table with chairs and a BBQ are also available. The second terrace (160 m2), is situated nine steps below the main terrace. It is equipped with a pool, a sun umbrella, a table, deck chairs and an external shower. Part of the garden is planted with seasonal vegetables, which are available to guests.

Interior Description

(110 m2)
Ground Floor: From the garden, you enter directly into the sitting and dining room. The furnishings include two sofas, a large flat-screen satellite television, a dining table which can accommodate up to six guests and air conditioning/heating units. The kitchen is equipped with a six-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, an Italian-style coffee maker and other small appliances. There is a table to seat four guests. From the kitchen a French door leads to the terrace. From one side of the living room, a small corridor leads to the two beautiful white-washed bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed (160x180) and direct access to the garden through French doors. There are two bathrooms located in the corridor, opposite of the bedrooms. The first bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a shower, a washing machine and an air conditioning/heating unit. The second and larger bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a large Jacuzzi bathtub and an air conditioning/heating unit.
