Enjoyed Most:
Location. The property was right on the beach in the middle of all of the night life and restaurants. My wife and I are very fit so being on the bottom of the hill did not bother us. However, as the villa is below the majority of the stores in town, people should know that they need to be fit. Otherwise, this may not be the villa for them. I would recommend the villa to a friend and rent it again should I return.
Unpleasant Surprises:
It was very hot when we were at the villa and because the electric service could not support all the air conditioners we could either run the two in the bedroom or the one unit in the living room but not both. Therefore if someone wanted to take a nap in the afternoon and the rest of us were in the living room the person in the bedroom could not turn on the bedroom unit. As far as water pressure is concerned, it was poor. Taking showers was a challenge.
Surrounding Area:
As stated, the villa is in middle of all the action as far as night life and restaurants are concerned. It was nice to roll out of bed in the morning and get a cup of coffee. It was also nice to be able to get right to the beach as well as being close to the ferries when we went on day trips.
Tips or Restaurants:
Any restaurant in town is good. We did not have a bad meal. A hidden gem, and I do not know the name, is a little restaurant on the walk that starts just above the ferry dock and leads to another beach area about a half mile from the main beach. The restaurant sits on a cliff overlooking the sea and offers the best view of all the restaurants we ate at.
Directions:
Having a GPS system like a Tom Tom would be very useful for anyone renting a car. We were able to download a map of Italy from the Tom Tom web site and this proved to be very useful. I am sure all the GPS manufacturers have similar services.

Overall:
It was a great place to stay, especially with kids. We were able to go back and forth to the beach all day.
Enjoyed Most:
That it was close to the beach, ferries and restaurants.
Unpleasant Surprises:
It was quite loud at night time because of all the restaurants. Things didn't die down until 2:00am.
Surrounding Area:
It is all just beautiful. Loved being able to go to the local markets to buy produce and fresh seafood. Great people. It was easy to do day trips - Capri, Pompeii, Amalfi and Ravello.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Public transportation is very easy to use! Truly everything is at your finger tips.
Tips or Restaurants:
There are so many good restuarants that you really don't need to cook. We loved Bruno's, Chez Black and La Cambusa - ask for Mario!. The local food stores were great - very helpful with wine suggestions. Try their local cheeses monk or mountain cheese and sausages.
