The two lodgings are inside a large property of 5 hectares set in quiet and panoramic location with nice views over the Chiana Valley. Distances: food shop 3 km, Foiano della Chiana with all kinds of shops and a golf course about 10 km, the famous medieval town Cortona about 15 km, Castiglion del Lago with equipped beaches on Lake Trasimeno 18 km, Montepulciano about 22 km, the Etruscan town Chiusi 25 km, Pienza 34 km, Siena 55 km. A riding-stable at 5 km, a tennis court and covered a swimming-pool are within 10 km, spas of S. Albino at 20 km. A secondary road passes at the back of the villa. At guests' disposal: large, shaded lawn equipped with tables, chairs, sun-beds, barbecue, covered parking, table-tennis, private swimming pool (6 x 12 m - maximum depth 1,50 m- open from 30/03 to 26/10) set in panoramic location with dressing-room. A couple lives in an apartment with private entrance located in the villa and they use a small share of the garden on one, secluded side, without using the swimming-pool. Both the farmhouse and the outbuilding are tastefully furnished. Possibility of renting mountain bikes and requiring maid service (payment on the spot).

Overall:
It was an absolutely perfect villa.
Enjoyed Most:
Great location, short drive to the train, Siena, Cortona etc..., wonderful views, perfect hammock and, the property manager was great and very helpful.
Unpleasant Surprises:
We had to leave at the end of the week.
Surrounding Area:
Driving distance to several Mountain towns.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring coffee filters, there weren't any in the kitchen, and we couldn't find any in the markets so we had to use napkins.

Overall:
It is a lovely place and the family is very proud of their home. It was very clean and livable...and so convenient to see all of Tuscany. We went from Asissi to Volterra, Florence to Orvieto..Also took the train to Rome for a night.....Highly recommend this villa.
Enjoyed Most:
We loved the view and the pool area. The owners were wonderful hosts.

It is a wonderful location..you are remote with beautiful views, but only about 2 miles from the Autostrada. Very convenient for sightseeing.
Tips or Restaurants:
I always bring wash cloths when I visit Europe. I left 10 with the owner!!!!
The owner had good suggestions for dinner. His mother cooks for you with 24 hours notice. I would definitely recommend this. Wish we had known about this amenity and had her cook the night we arrived.

Overall:
We would go back here in a heartbeat. Perfect Tuscan experience.
Enjoyed Most:
Everything! We had 2 families with 6 kids. The pool was fantastic. We would get up and have our capuccino by the pool in the morning. Take a day trip for lunch and return to jump in the pool in the evening. We loved it.
Unpleasant Surprises:
We were there in the last week of July and it was hot. A couple more fans would be great.
Surrounding Area:
Everything was within 1.5 hours or less.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Nothing was really within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Get the dinner offered by the house early so you can have leftovers!
Directions:
Cell phone would be good to have to call if you get lost.
