This apartment is located in the center of Florence on via dei Ginori. The Piazza del Duomo is two blocks away, the central market is around the corner, and the train station is a ten-minute walk.

(60 m2) 3rd floor (with lift): Beyond a small entryway, there is a living room with sofa bed, a small dining room/study, a spacious bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with tub and showerhead, and a small kitchenette with a gas burner and toaster oven. The amenities include a washing machine, TV, central heating, two ceiling fans, and an elevator. The apartment has double-paned windows. A cell phone with pre-paid card is available upon request - deposit required. Maid service is available for 10-12 Euros per hour.

Enjoyed Most:
The location was perfect for us! Truly, the city was right outside our door! Maria Rosa was delightful to deal with. Manuel, the porter, was accessible for problems and concerns and very helpful.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The beds! Flat, thin mattresses, military-type blanket, a flat, hard pillow.
Surrounding Area:
Everything! The shopping, the churches, museums, wonderful restaurants.
Tips or Restaurants:
Be sure to ask how heater works and what button NOT to push that turns off the hot water! The best restaurant? Latini is a must!!!
Directions:
Easy taxi ride, about 30 Euros, from Florence airport.

Enjoyed Most:
It was an extremely comfortable, pleasant space with plenty of light and good furnishings, well-decorated. Any small problems were promptly dealt with by the friendly management.
Unpleasant Surprises:
There is a noise issue with market vendors opening their storage garages below at around 5 am. It wasn't too much of a problem for us because it was fall and we kept the windows closed at night. In the summer, with open windows, it might be more of a problem. On the other hand, there is much less traffic noise than on most of the Florentine streets.
Surrounding Area:
It couldn't have been nicer. Close to the market, the Duomo, yet with little traffic noise. We've lived in several areas of Florence and this was the nicest.

Overall:
The property was a great value and the location was great. The Central Market was just 2 blocks away. The locals were very friendly. It was within easy walking distance to train station. The location made it impossible to get lost. It was adequately equipped.
Enjoyed Most:
I liked its central location in the historic district.
Surrounding Area:
All major Florence attractions were within a small radius.
