- Location Description
- This Florence holiday accommodation is located in a restricted-traffic zone in Santa Croce, one of Florence's most characteristic neighborhoods. The apartment is on the second floor of a palazzo built in the 15th century. The palazzo is situated about two blocks from the Piazza Santa Croce and the famous Capella dei Pazzi.
Pisa: 98 km
Siena: 70.4 km
Ponte Vecchio: within walking distance
Uffizi: within walking distance
Duomo: within walking distance
- Exterior Description
- This 15th century building was completely restored in 1996. It is a typical example of late medieval Florentine art. There is an elevator servicing each floor, and there is a terrace (for use by all tenants of the building) on the second floor (if taking the stairs) or the fourth floor (if taking the lift). The reason for this discrepancy is that the ceilings in the building are very high, and some of the apartments are located on a mezzanine level between two floors.
- Interior Description
- (61m2) 2nd floor (with elevator): This comfortable studio/loft apartment is located on the second floor (4th floor if taking the elevator). It consist of: a living/dining room with sofa bed, kitchenette (through an arch), bathroom with shower. In the loft above the living dining room is the master bedroom with frescoes on the walls, a walk-in closet and a bathroom with tub.
- Features Description
- Available Amenities: oven, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, two sets of linens and towels, buzzer, independent heating, telephone, TV, and WIFI internet connection.
Extra Services: Daily maid service and catering on request.
Please Note:
- This apartment is not suitable for students.
- The windows in the living room and bathroom on the lower floor overlook a quiet courtyard.

- Upon arrival at the property you are required to give your credit card information and sign a form authorizing charges for extras and/or damages that occur during your stay. The credit card authorization amount is: 1000 EUR
Additional Expenses
- If available, telephone is extra and charged according to consumption.
- Arrivals between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm must be arranged in advance and clients will be charged a late arrival fee of: 20 EUR
- Arrivals after 9:30 pm will be charged a late arrival fee of: 40 EUR
Other Notes
- Departures must take place before 9:30 am
- If available, heating is allowed by Italian law only from November 1 to April 1 with exceptions made for extreme weather
- If you arrive outside of the acceptable arrival times you may be charged a late arrival fee
- CLIENTS ARE REQUIRED TO GIVE A PHOTOCOPY OF THEIR PASSPORT TO THE LOCAL MANAGER WHEN THEY ARRIVE AT THE APARTMENT.

The central location.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The hot water heater malfunctioned on the morning we were to leave!
Surrounding Area:
Everything was walking distance. We never even had to take a taxi.
Tips or Restaurants:
Yellow Bar was great for pizza and Cafe Baldovino had fantastic salads!

Overall:
The location is so wonderful, that one could put up with an inconvenience or two in the apartment itself. Yet, the aparatment offers very comfortable living for two, so we really felt we had the best of both worlds.
Enjoyed Most:
Location is excellent. We were within walking distance of all points of interest in Florence. We were delighted with this aspect of the rental.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The air conditioning was anemic, so that the machine had to be on continuously during our stay. In the summer this is an important consideration.
Surrounding Area:
Florence speaks for itself!
Tips or Restaurants:
There is so much the city offers that everyone will find their own way in Florence quite easily -- that was our impression.

Overall:
Stairs, loft concept proved to be a bit burdensome for me.
Enjoyed Most:
Location was great. Clean!
Unpleasant Surprises:
No real outside view. Lighting was too dim.
Surrounding Area:
You can find things to tour every minute of the week in Florence. We could walk everywhere!
Tip:
Make sure to go up to Fiesole - take bus # 7. Also, reserve a tour across the top of the Ponte Vecchio called the Prince's Walk (Corridoio Vasariano) arranged at the Uffizi ticket window.
