Farmhouse (130 m2) that has been renovated and is situated amidst the green hills of the Chianti Classico. The position of the house allows you to quickly reach the main tourist sights of the Chianti area. Peaceful position. Pretty and broad view of the countryside rich in vineyards. Equipped and enclosede lawn (approx. 400 m2) with panoramic terrace and swimming pool (4x8). One of the rooms of the house, which is completely independent, is occasonally used by the owner.Parking.

ACCOMMODATION: Gr. fl.: equipped loggia (12 m2), living room (satellite TV), dining room, kitchen (oven, freezer, dishwasher), cupboard under the stairs with washing machine. 1st fl.: 3 double bedrooms two of which have access to the loggia (a loggia of 10 m2 and the other of 20 m2), 2 bathrooms with shower. Comfortable furniture. Central heating.
LOCATION: 1 km Greve in Chianti (all kinds of shops), 32 km Florence, 43 km Siena.

Enjoyed Most:
The proximity to Greve is very convenient. It is centrally located to San Gimignano, Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, etc. Convenient market and restaurants in Greve. There is a friendly neighborhood kitty that loves to drop in and make friends with the guests.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The keyholder was not very helpful. She would answer your questions and was cordial but was not very proactive about offering suggestions to us. The couple that lives in the little room attached to the house were very friendly.
Surrounding Area:
The beautiful vineyards, friendly neighbors next door, proximity to Greve and driving distance to other hill towns.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Greve is very close and within walking distance, albeit the house is situated up a narrow winding rocky dirt road uphill from the town.
Tips or Restaurants:
It is an inconvenience to have to buy dish soap, laundry detergent, sponge, toilet paper, paper towels, salt and pepper. I know other renters have made the same comments around this. Property guests are arriving jetlagged on a Saturday afternoon - you can't check in until 5-8pm and all shops are closed on Sunday. It would be really helpful to have the villa stocked with these basic items upon arrival, even if you have to charge the renters an extra 10 Euro for it.

Enjoyed Most:
The view, the proximity to Greve and the pool.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The water service goes off a couple of times each day, so you are without water occasionally every day. They need more wine glasses.
Surrounding Area:
Greve is spectacular and it is central to all of Tuscany.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Greve...and yes you can walk - less than a mile to the center square.
My mother who is 80 did the walk every morning for coffee.
Tips or Restaurants:
The restaurants in or near Greve are very good. The best are the Cantineta de la Rignata just off Greve and the Il Giardino in Panzano, 5 Km south of Greve.

Overall:
I would definitely go back there again, and I'd recommend it without reservation.
Enjoyed Most:
Proximity to Greve. It was so easy to walk into the town center for shopping or gelato. Beautiful view on the terrace. Very large property - plenty of room for our group of 6 people. Big dining table on the terrace and in the dining room so we could all sit down together to eat or discuss our plans for the next day.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Temperature of the water in the shower not constant. Changed from hot to cold throughout showers.
Surrounding Area:
Beautiful view - Vineyards all around. The beginning of October was harvest time so we were able to watch the process from our terrace.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Greve - center of town very close. Steep but short walk into the center.
Tips or Restaurants:
Ask about the washing machine - we couldn't figure it out, so ask the key holder when you meet with them.
Recommendation: Cooking classes at Fagiolare Bed and Breakfast in Panzano. We spent a wonderful afternoon there with Stefania and Giulieta teaching us how to make a fabulous Tuscan meal. Affordable and very comfortable.
