Overall:
We were there in October. It rained a lot, so bring a raincoat and maybe an umbrella. It was beautiful, though, and there were fewer tourists.
Enjoyed Most:
Comfortable apartment. Good Bed. Quiet surroundings. Very nice hosts, although it would be good if you spoke more Italian than we did, as they speak almost no English.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The view from the property was of the grounds only, no views of hills or other interesting sights. It is too near the main house.
Surrounding Area:
Proximity to small hill towns, San Miniato, San Gimignano, Chianti region, etc. Great walks in the countryside.
Nearby Events or Locales:
San Miniato is a 10-minute drive from the property. This is a charming small town with a couple of excellent restaurants and bars.
Tips or Restaurants:
We especially enjoyed a small restaurant in San Miniato - Osteria Enoteca L'Upupa, which is a Slow Food member with excellent food, good house wine and very friendly staff.
Directions:
Great directions, just don't try to find it on the map before you go!

Overall:
The grounds are beautiful. The house is lovely and perfect for two. In a great location close to many of the sites. Pisa and Florence are 30 minutes either way.

The grounds and location high on a hill.

Many olive trees, grapes, and lots of red poppies. Gorgeous scenery!
Nearby Events or Locales:
A great local market and an even greater local restaurant, Collerbrunacci! Excellent food and wine and very inexpensive.

Overall:
Absolutely loved it. Delighted. Very, very nice. Modern kitchen - wonderful owners - well located for day trips once you figure out the right directions to the property. Nice restaurants in San Miniato.
