Enjoyed Most:
Superb location to the superstrada, wine trail, and train to Florence. The owners are delightful and friendly..hilltop view is excellent
Unpleasant Surprises:
No English speaking TV stations.
Surrounding Area:
Beautiful Tuscan countryside.
Tips or Restaurants:
Wonderful pool area for lounging and swimming. We felt that the cooking class was overpriced.

Enjoyed Most:
Peace and quiet and the pool.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Some young children up at night.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring good walking shoes.
Check In Out:
We were able to stay later and hang out at the pool.

Overall:
It was a wonderful place to stay. The people are friendly and the property is beautiful. We were lucky to be there when they were harvesting the grapes and crushing them for the wine. I would definitely stay there again when I go back to Tuscany.
Enjoyed Most:
The property was very comfortable and in a great location. This apartment had screens on the windows and a fan to help cool things off if the breeze stopped in the evening. The location was beautiful...on a hill among the vineyards with a beautiful view.
Unpleasant Surprises:
There wasn't anything that we didn't like.
Surrounding Area:
The location was an easy drive to many of the great areas of Tuscany. San Gimignano and Siena were only about a 20 minute drive. Many of the other great small towns in the Chianti were very close, as well, including Radda in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The closest small town was Staggia and it was not really within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Make sure that you bring a roll of toilet paper with you, as there wasn't any in the apartment when we arrived. We also found a good grocery store in Poggibonsi called PAM for supplies. We spent several nights in Monteriggioni for dinner. There were also several restaurants in Castellina in Chianti that were close by. We highly recommend trips to San Gimignano and Montepulciano.
Directions:
The property is well marked and easy to find.
Check In Out:
They were very accommodating.

Overall:
This is the best holiday property we've stayed in - it's fantastic for families and was very international, so a great way to make new friends.
Enjoyed Most:
We loved everything about this property - the situation, the facilities and the fact that Claudia and her family made us so welcome and went out of their way to help, including making the best Tiramisu we've ever tasted for a party that we had with the other guests one night!
Unpleasant Surprises:
We couldn't fault the property.
Surrounding Area:
The countryside was beautiful, and you are ideally situated for the numerous scenic and interesting towns and cities of the area.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Staggia is the nearest small town which you could walk to if you wished. It's a small town but has a good COOP supermarket which was very handy.
Tips or Restaurants:
We loved the communal BBQ area at the property - it's definitely worth buying some charcoal from the supermarket. When going to the larger tourist towns like Florence and Siena it pays to shop around for restaurants. In the squares, which are good places to sit and watch the world go by, some restaurants can be 2 or 3 times the price of others in the same location! Just check the menus before sitting down.

Enjoyed Most:
The villa was very relaxing and comfortable. The hosts were incredible. Claudia, Simone, and Franco are all great people.
Surrounding Area:
I was able to cycle to many interesting towns throughout the Chianti region. The property is nicely located for day trips.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Staggia. It is close enough to walk, but the property sits on top of a hill and there is nowhere to walk once you get to the road.
Tips or Restaurants:
Enjoy the villa, because you've found a gem. Use the BBQ and the pool. There is a place next to the COOP in Staggia that everyone agreed was the best pizza on the trip.

Overall:
The property was exactly as described. The owners were wonderful and the location was in close proximity to the major sites. Unpleasant Surprises: No fans in the house. Surrounding area: Rural, yet there was easy access to amenities, shopping, groceries, etc.
Events or Locales: Visits to San Gimignano and Montriggioni. Tips and Restaurants: Cooking at the house was wonderful. The kitchen and BBQ were well equipped.

Overall:
Claudia and her family the owners were very helpful and kind. Claudia's prune dessert cake she baked for us was delicious.
Enjoyed Most:
The location of Montalpruno Prato was ideal for seeing Siena, Florence, Rome and many other wonderful hilltowns of Tuscany. Montalpruno Prato's atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping it would be - tranquill, comfortable, and an authentic agritourisimo experience. The property and experience exceeded our expectations.
Unpleasant Surprises:
There was not anything we did not like.
Surrounding Area:
Poggibonsi is the nearest town to Montalpruno. It is small city that made us appreciate what life is like in Tuscany. We enjoyed the peace and quite of the area and the ability to take easy day trips to Sienna, Florence and Rome. It was a great home base.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Poggibonsi is a 10 minute walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
Il Pozzo in Monteriggioni was our favorite restaurant - the Bisteca Florentine is outstanding.
Check In Out:
Very easy.

Overall: Montalpruno was great! The room was clean and the view fantastic. The people, especially Claudia, were delightful.
Unpleasant Surprises: We had to go to Poggibonsi to buy a fan. The heat was intense and there is no A/C.

Overall: The farm was just as advertised and the whole family was really nice. The daughter and niece spoke English well and the owner was so friendly, and sure that if he talked to me enough in Italian that we would communicate, and we did. When we left he gave another bottle of his latest vintage. The apartment at the back of the house was reasonably private and certainly roomy for two. There were a number of other people staying there while we were there and that added to the enjoyment because they were from all over Europe and we shared information and experiences. Enjoyed Most: The proximity to so many places that we wanted to see Surrounding Area: The crystal town nearby, the wine area to the east and the closeness of Volterra and San Gimignano. We also enjoyed finding the Monastery of San Galgano south of Siena. Nearby Events or Locales: The Chianti countryside. Tips or Restaurants: Ristorante Tres Arches on the Higway to Volterra from the farm.
