Customer Reviews

Overall:
We enjoyed the location. Perfect walking distance to anything.
Enjoyed Most:
Loved the location.
Enjoyed Least:
Noisy street.
Surrounding Area:
Shops, restaurants nearby, beautiful view of harbor.
Tips or Restaurants:
Great spots in the El Born district, which is across the street.
Directions:
We used a cab to get to the office of the local representative, and another cab from their place to the apartment due to size of luggage, etc.

Overall:
Other than the noise, we enjoyed it thoroughly.
Enjoyed Most:
The view from the window was constantly changing and so intriguing to watch over the many days we stayed in the apartment.
Enjoyed Least:
The noise from the street below made it, at times, difficult to sleep. It would seem a relatively easy thing to decrease by replacing the window or the seal of the window with something a little more sound-proof. There wasn't a very tight seal and sound leaked around it.
Surrounding Area:
The area of the Barrio Gothico is fascinating - with those winding old streets, narrow walkways, Roman ruins, etc.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We walked all over the city and we found it most walkable, though we alternated with some subway use as well. Endlessly fascinating and too big to see all even in our ten days.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring DVD's for the TV if you have any time for that and don't speak Spanish for local TV. Otherwise, we felt very cared for and found all we needed at the local markets. We did enjoy a restaurant-bar around the corner a couple of streets called Stella.
Directions:
We took a cab from the train station and found that very easy to handle.
Check In Out:
We were under the impression that this facility had a washing machine, hence our packing so light clothing-wise. When we discovered otherwise, that was a little distressful, but we adapted and laundered in the bathroom sink instead.
