Customer Reviews
Overall:
The villa was fantastic - perfectly situated, very comfortable, clean, and a great place to relax, swim and sleep. It was very, very peaceful there.
Enjoyed Most:
The villa was very clean and modern, the owner was there to meet us and answer all of our questions. He also came by every day to clean the pool and water the plants. As a result the property looked fantastic our entire stay.
Enjoyed Least:
Nothing really.
Surrounding Area:
Plakias is a perfect little getaway. Big enough to have everything you need but small enough to feel that you're away from it all. My family and I loved it.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The villa is situated very close to the beach and technically in the town just up a small hill, but it is just far enough away to avoid noise.
Tips or Restaurants:
I'd highly recommend this villa and location. The beaches very nice for snorkeling and swimming. There are nice sandy beaches as well as places for rock hunting - we found huge chunks of agate very near by.
Check In Out:
The owner was really really helpful. In fact, he even helped us find a room in Chania to stay as we had an early flight out.

Overall:
It was great.
Enjoyed Most:
The close proximity to the village so we could walk two blocks for coffee or food in the morning, no driving required. Also the outside veranda was wonderful. Our "contact-property manger" Phillip, who was wonderful and helpful and a source of information.
Enjoyed Least:
The view, or lack thereof. Only one possible view of the mountains, none of the sea, and the rest was of construction.
Surrounding Area:
The water and the restaurants.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We were literally in the town of Plakias and it was definitely within walking distance. The next town, Myrthios, was on the hill above us, and I can't imagine walking to it, but we drove there and to other towns within a 50 km range.
Tips or Restaurants:
The villa was well stocked. We brought things such as toilet paper, salt, coffee, laundry detergent, etc. and only really needed the coffee. Others before us did as we did and left unused things behind, such as washing detergent, etc. However, we did tell Phillip that it would be helpful to leave written info in English and other languages on how to work the satellite TV, DVD, washer, etc.
Check In Out:
Phillip was just where we were told he would be and he led us to the property and showed us the basics.
