Customer Reviews
Overall:
Excellent
Enjoyed Most:
View and location
Unpleasant Surprises:
We were left waiting at the airport for 20 minutes before we were picked up and taken to the property.
Surrounding Area:
Proximity to restaurants
Nearby Events or Locales:
Imerovigli was a 2 minute walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
Apart from the transport issue, we had a great time at the property and would consider returning in the next 12-18 months.
Check In Out:
Sophia was lovely

Overall:
Great. People were friendly and helpful. Beautiful.
Enjoyed Most:
Location.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Bugs. We would find them dead on the floor in the morning. Master bedroom had insect netting. The other bedroom did not.
Surrounding Area:
Peaceful, beautiful.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We were located in Imerovigli. The next small town was Fira and it was within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
La Maison in Imerovigli
Check In Out:
The people who met us and who checked us out were wonderful.

Overall:
Wonderful. View was magnificent, and the property was more private than most of the surrounding properties. Close to groceries, beverages, restaurants. Two fine restaurants near the top of the steps entering the villa.
Enjoyed Most:
The view and seclusion. Car was very good, and all cars on Santorini appear to be manual shift, regardless of brand or quality. Jackie, the lady that greeted us, was very helpful. The manager was helpful making appointments with local nail salon, and confirming airline reservation.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The toilet in Moon Room frequently would not flush due to electrical malfunction. Bidet inoperative. None of the toilets would accept tissue; had to put in waste can. Air conditioning would be nice, but not absolutely necessary. However, none of these things would keep us from returning.
Surrounding Area:
View, view, view. Interesting shops and open air cafes. Sailing with Capt. Steve Blue Lagoon and swimming in the Aegean. Winery tours and Santorini wine. Kamari beach. Ancient Thira.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Imerovigli was at the top of the steps. Anything you want to buy is within a very short walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
Had many problems with Olympic Airlines.
Dress very casual, so don't over pack. Imerovigli Tavern has good food and good wine, and is very close walking. Several cats around, but friendly. Cell phone with international calling is very handy. Bring lots of cash because many shop keepers claim their credit card machine is "broken". Whether that is true or not, they won't take a credit card even though they post that they do. Bring sun screen.
Directions:
We were lead to the property by the hostess, who waited for us until late at night after frequent Olympic Airline delays. Once there, navigating the island is simple.
Check In Out:
Car parking was close. Ask about additional liability insurance 10 Euros per day.

Overall:
We were very happy with our decision to take the villa and its location was the best in Santorini.
Enjoyed Most:
Location, location, location. Its actually a very nicely converted cave house with fantastic views. Little things are very well taken care of by the local agent. She was extremely helpful as was the car rental agency and the maid. The property comes with the sweetest and most regal, white, extremely well behaved cat called "Princess Thira". She slept with us and made our stay even more memorable.
Unpleasant Surprises:
This property is not suitable for 2 couples, and there is not privacy for either couple as one bedroom has a window into the living room and the other is open to the living room with no door. Also the bathroom with the upstairs bedroom is tiny.
Surrounding Area:
It is just beautiful with breathtaking views of the Caldera and lovely walking paths.
Nearby Events or Locales:
It is an easy walk to Fira, but better to take a cab back as its uphill. Costs EUR 5.
Tips or Restaurants:
Avoid coming as 2 couples unless you are so close that you don't need privacy! Naoussa in Fira is a fantastic restaurant. Best Greek food and service I have found anywhere in Greece and I've been to pretty much all of Greece now.

Overall:
I would highly recommend it to people who like some solitude from the crowds of Fira and who enjoy the best sunsets I've ever seen.
Enjoyed Most:
The greatest view in the world.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The bathroom door...very minor.
Surrounding Area:
Santorini is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. It's difficult to single any one thing out. We could walk to everything, the restaurants were great and the Greek wine is fantastic.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We were in it...Emerivigli. We walked the 25 minutes to Fira at least once a day, and besides the scenery the exercise was excellent.
Tips or Restaurants:
The restaurant Vanilia was our favorite. Make sure you bring a sweeter. It should be made clear to all renters and anyone going to Santorini that walking around the towns can be difficult and that there are 62 steps from the Villa up to the walking path Fira and Oia. The island is very difficult for people who are not mobile.
Directions:
We were met at the airport and driven to the villa. Without that it may have been more difficult.
Check In Out:
The staff was great. Especially the person who carried our bags up and down the 62 steps to the villa.
