Overall:
We had a great time at the cottage. It was very well appointed in a Caribbean-island style.
Enjoyed Most:
The patio, deck and pool area were gorgeous. Very private and peaceful. It was great to lie on the float in the pool at night and look up at the stars.
Enjoyed Least:
It is hard to find anything to complain about. There was no dishwasher but it didn't bother us.
Surrounding Area:
Neltjeberg Beach is accessed by a dirt track just past Thirteen restaurant. The owner showed us how to find it. It is a bumpy, steep 4 wheel drive down, but once there it was perfect. Very secluded, a lot of the time we were the only people on the beach.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Charlotte Amelie is a 12-minute drive away, but be aware that all the roads in St Thomas are very narrow, steep and windy. Very exciting driving.
Tips or Restaurants:
Thirteen is the closest restaurant and we loved it - and went twice at the end of the vacation. Hull Bay Hideaway was a very low-key joint for the locals, right near the beach, but I had a great burger there for lunch. Northpoint Bistro is close and worth a look.
Directions:
The owner took us there the first day, then we used GPS to get around. St Thomas would be very confusing without GPS.
