Overall:
We had a great time enjoying the accommodations and amenities. The pool is great and the view of the surrounding hills is terrific.
Enjoyed Most:
We had 9 people in our party and there was plenty of space for all of us to have privacy and get together when we wanted to.
Also, while we were there late in the season, we still managed a meal outside under the grape arbor--beautiful!
Enjoyed Least:
It was further outside of Florence than we believed. I think the mileage stated is to the outskirt of Florence, not the city center.
Surrounding Area:
The countryside is very picturesque and the view spectacular.
Nearby Events or Locales:
San Donato is within easy walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
The small cafe in San Donato is run by a great couple with excellent panini and coffees. The bus was a convenient short walk away and was between 45 minutes and an hour to get to Florence. DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLORENCE! The bus is much more convenient.
Directions:
We picked up a rental car at the Florence airport (which is not actually located at the airport proper). Finding our way out of this location (and then back to) was complicated. I recommend picking up a car in downtown Florence, instead.
Check In Out:
Giulia was excellent and very helpful!

Overall:
Outstanding. The villa was in a great location, but one of the finest features was the staff and the personal attention to all our needs. We loved the villa and were so comfortable. It felt like home with all the amenities anyone could need, especially the well equipped kitchens. The swimming pool was large and a great design with a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside. It was very clean, well-appointed and just a wonderful place to spend a month. We would rent it again without hesitation.
Enjoyed Most:
The quality of the rooms and the amenities, but the location in Tuscany and proximity to Florence were also perfect.
Enjoyed Least:
There was some ambient noise from the road and occasionally from local residents, but nothing that was disruptive or problematic. Hardly worth mentioning.
Surrounding Area:
The little town of San Donato was delightful. It had everything we needed including very reliable bus service into Florence.
Nearby Events or Locales:
See above. Yes, it was three blocks from the villa. Quite an asset in our opinion.
Tips or Restaurants:
Restaurant Nuovo Rancho. Excellent food and very reasonable priced. A local favorite. All household needs and comforts were provided.
Directions:
We had to work out careful driving directions from the Autostrada A1 to the villa, because it is challenging to find all the correct turns through the first small towns before you reach Via Roma and the straight shot to the villa. A GPS is very helpful.
Check In Out:
Bring copies of your passport. Helpful for check in and in case your passport is lost or stolen. The staff at the villa is outstanding and very, very accommodating, especially with checking, orientation to the facilities and then responding to every need or request. The manager also aligned us with outstanding driver service, a Florence quide, and a chef who was superior. So service was superior in every respect.

Overall:
Was really WOW'ed by the property. The pictures on the web site do not do it justice. Beautiful scenery, very peaceful, loved the pool!
Enjoyed Most:
Scenery, pool, the property as a whole!
Enjoyed Least:
Bus transportation to Florence: getting there was no problem, but getting back there was always a 1-2 hour wait for the buses.
Surrounding Area:
Quaint town, easy to get to Florence (just not getting back by bus.)
Nearby Events or Locales:
San Donato in Collina; it's a couple minutes to walk to the town.
Tips or Restaurants:
Definitely recommend hiring a chef through RentVillas to come to your villa. Dinner was excellent and he was very nice.
Directions:
Took taxis from airport to property.

Overall:
The overall experience was everything that we had hoped for.
Enjoyed Most:
The view from the patio was awesome.
Enjoyed Least:
Getting out of the driveway took a great deal of faith.
Surrounding Area:
There was great cycling very close to the villa. Nice wine tasting very close to the villa. Very close to Florence for day trips... but the driving is nerve wracking.
Nearby Events or Locales:
San Donata in Collina was only a 2 minute walk. However the road was a little scary to walk on!
Tips or Restaurants:
The Nouveau Ranch is a nice restaurant within a couple of minutes of the villa. Great for the first night there when no one wants to shop and cook. The property manager made the reservations for us. There is a nice grocery store in Bagno a Ripoli called Coop. It's just off of the main road. Look for the sign.
Directions:
The entrance is VERY soon after you come through town. Look for the sign Casamaggio on the stone wall.

Overall:
Great.
Enjoyed Most:
Pool was beautiful, very relaxing. It fit well for our multiple families in terms of layout. Two masters with the boys in the adjoining room, three girls in the other building.
Enjoyed Least:
WiFi nonexistent after 2 minutes. A little noisy, and exiting to highway was thrilling...! Editor's Note: A severe thunderstorm affected the Internet connection. The issue has now been resolved. July 2011.
Surrounding Area:
Stefania and Gabrielli at little pastry and coffee "shop".
Nearby Events or Locales:
It was 100 yards from the small town.
