Overall:
Our group of 14 adults had a great time during our week at the villa.
Enjoyed Most:
The property was only 20 to 25 kms from Florence but it was in a very quiet area. There were many places to visit and things to do within easy commuting distance by car. The property owner (Roberta) was very easy to deal with and provided assistance with booking dinners at a couple of restaurants. The villa is 800 years old and the views are fantastic.
Enjoyed Least:
We had no issues with the property.
Surrounding Area:
Grocery shopping was only 10 minutes away in Rignano Sull Arno. We had a great tour and lunch at the Fattoria Torre a Cona winery which is only 3 kms from the villa. There are a number of very scenic towns that are within a 60- to 75-minute drive from the villa.
Tips or Restaurants:
The villa supplies large towels for use at the pool so there is no need to bring your own.
Directions:
Getting to the villa was easy based on the physical address on the rental agreement and the use of GPS.

Overall:
Beautiful property--exactly what we were expecting. It was an excellent place for a family gathering.
Enjoyed Most:
The villa has a large kitchen where all the family gathered in the morning and evening hours. It also had a large front room where family gathered to read, play games, use their computers, etc. The bedrooms each had a private bathroom, and the pool offered a much needed respite from the summer heat. All that put together meant that the villa offered something for everyone. You could either join the group or find your own private area to relax.
Enjoyed Least:
We had a few older people in the group and all the steps were a bit challenging. However, we put them in the 1st floor bedrooms and that was a perfect compromise.
Surrounding Area:
The surrounding area was quaint, accessible by car, and offered a lot of interesting places to visit.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The nearest town was Rignano sull' Arno, about 8 minutes away by car. It was a great little town with a nice grocery store and excellent little train station that offered hourly trains into Florence.
Directions:
We used a Garmin GPS and it was spot-on for directions.

Overall:
I could sum up or stay with one word - WOW!! The Villa Gialla was a wonderful villa. We are starting to plan another trip in a few years and we will use Rentvillas.com for our trip. We may try to stay at the same place.
Enjoyed Most:
The property owner was a gracious hostess. The day we arrived half of our family was separated due to traffic. My sisters made it to the villa before me. I had the reservation paperwork, however, and the owner let them in to get settled. Once we made it to the villa we called the owners and she came right over. In the kitchen there was an old wood fire grill, and we asked the owner if we could use it one night and she said anytime we would like and we could use the olive wood for fuel. We did a huge dinner a few days later.
Enjoyed Least:
Nothing.
Tips or Restaurants:
The owner also made dinner reservations for us a few times, twice at Nuevo Ranch, which is an 8-minute drive from the villa. We loved the little café, the owner Ciro was a great person. We had dinner at a place called 100 Palms, which we were not impressed with. There was another bistro called Osteria de Medici that was fabulous. We celebrated my brothers 50th birthday there. The owner, Marco, was fantastic.

Overall:
It was great, the house is located in the middle of a beautiful valley full of vineyards and olive trees. It is a house from the 13th century very unique and pretty. The owner and staff were really nice and friendly.
Enjoyed Most:
The location and the uniqueness of the house, painted walls and ceilings.
The view and the people.
Enjoyed Least:
It was maybe a bit further from Florence than expected.
Surrounding Area:
Peace and quiet, great views.
Tips or Restaurants:
There is a shortcut to get to Florence without taking the highway, but it is best to go by train from Rignano.
The cooking of Eleonora and Luisa was amazing. You don't need to move from the house.

Overall:
We were quite pleased with the villa, which was spacious and clean. The grounds are beautiful and especially well kept, including the pool area, which my grandchildren particularly enjoyed. Many thanks for your help in planning what was a most enjoyable experience for my family. I will certainly recommend your company and this villa to friends seeking this type of accommodation.
Enjoyed Most:
We all enjoyed the outside deck area off the kitchen and dining room, where we could view the surrounding countryside. My wife was especially fond of the overlarge kitchen.
Enjoyed Least:
Our only negative experience was barking dogs on one night almost the entire night, and fierce mosquitoes.
Tips or Restaurants:
I would remind people that while Florence is only 18 km away, driving time to the outskirts is roughly 45 minutes due to the narrow and winding roads. The trains from Rignano to Florence are not overly frequent. You might also encourage renters to visit the winery and olive pressing facility at Fattoria Torre A Cona, only five minutes from the villa. They provide an excellent tour of this 12th century property at 11am and 3pm daily, and their wines, one of which is outstanding, and first press olive oil are available at attractive prices at the facility.
