The castle restaurant in Majori was incredible. Also the semi-private boat tours in the caves were great.

Overall:
This property is stunningly beautiful.
Enjoyed Most:
The view and the property itself were AMAZING.
Enjoyed Least:
The property manager was rude, and there was a lack of explanation as to how to sort the trash. During check out we felt like children under scrutiny for possibly having done something wrong.
Surrounding Area:
Walking is a little scary, but being able to walk and commute to so many different small towns was wonderful.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Atrani, Minori, and Amalfi were all walking distance, but not for the feint of heart as the roads are dangerous and tight.
Tips or Restaurants:
Go to Atrani and eat in the pizzeria built into the cliff off of the beach. FANTASTIC!!! Prior to departure, as RentVillas about walking paths and sorting trash.

Overall:
From the moment we arrived at Casa Minori, we felt like we had walked into heaven! It is well kept up and has so much beauty in the house as well as the grounds!
Enjoyed Most:
The view was just beautiful and the flowers and trees make it perfect.
Enjoyed Least:
The steps going down to the villa, but they were broken up so it was fine!
Surrounding Area:
The little town of Minori was great! Just the right size without a lot of tourists. We found several favorite restaurants and had a wonderful time exploring it and the surrounding towns.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Minori was just a 10 minute walk from the villa.
Tips or Restaurants:
Just bring good walking shoes and remember you are on Italy time- which means you might have to wait for a bus, but it just gives you more time to enjoy the views!
Directions:
We had a very helpful driver who picked us up at the Naples train station. He called the owner and got directions from him.

Overall:
The experience was fantastic. The home is beautiful and in a quiet area close to town.
Enjoyed Most:
Obviously the view was the main draw, but the layout of the villa suited our group. Access to the water was a plus as the swimming was a bonus due to the warm weather in October. The outdoor shower, while never mentioned, was a huge hit with all of us and the only shower we all used.
Surrounding Area:
The quiet, quaint, and authentic part of Amalfi, no tourists. Easy access to other sites and towns.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Minori, yes it is within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
If the renter takes the time to read and ask questions there should be no surprises or disappointments and a good time will be had by all.

Overall:
Fantastic.
Enjoyed Most:
Location, view, living area, aesthetics. The clothes washer was also key. The owner supplied a bus schedule, which was great, since they are hard to find.
Enjoyed Least:
The dishwasher is on its last legs, the stove is serviceable but a bit cranky. I'm told that undersized electrical services are typical for Italy, but we had three nights where we had to reset the main circuit breaker multiple times. However, my complaints are really quite minor, and we got good help when we asked. Editor's Note: The owner confirmed that an electrician checked the problem and fixed it immediately. In general, in order to keep from overloading the power supply, you should not have too many appliances running at the same time.
Surrounding Area:
The hiking is fantastic. That is what we went for, mostly, and it was unbelievable.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Minori was an easy walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
Don't bring a car. Study the garbage schedule carefully, and ask questions before the keyholders leave. This can be confusing. The house is quite well-equipped, and you can get most everything you need in Minori.
Directions:
We had a driver take us from the Naples train station to the house, so I can't comment on directions. Having now traveled around the area by train and by bus, I can say that taking a train to Salerno and a bus from Salerno to Minori is not a bad option if you want to save some money. Transfers from Naples are expensive, but more convenient because Naples is a quick ride from Rome on the Eurostar train.
Check In Out:
The keyholders (I think they are the owners) were very kind. Their English was OK in person, but we were warned that it is not good over the phone, and were provided with an alternate phone number to call if we had problems.

Overall:
We had a great time. The Amalfi Coast is amazing! So much to see and do. Yet the villa was quiet and relaxing.
Enjoyed Most:
The view has to be 1. We spent every evening on the porch watching sunsets and admiring the scenery. The rooms, except for the kitchen, were spacious. The furniture was comfortable.
Enjoyed Least:
Upon arrival, the floors were swept but not clean; there were dead bugs in the tub in one bathroom and the shower needed a good cleaing. Also, one guest cut himself on the edge of the shower. The sea is 12 meters deep where the villa sea access is located. Only for strong swimmers. We were upset that we had to pay 280 euros to park our car down the road from the villa in a restaurant parking lot with no overnight security - when the 3 or 4 spaces behind the gate at the villa remained empty for the entire 2 weeks with only one space occupied on the weekends. We couldn't understand why the owner could not have made arrangements for us to rent one of the spaces. Editor's Note: The owner has confirmed that the maid will be more dilligent in the future with the cleaning of the apartment. She also confirmed that the parking spaces above do not belong to her and cannot be used. If clients insist upon bringing a car, the restaurant lot is the only option. She strongly recommends that clients do not bring a car, as it is easy to get around with drivers and public transportation. Rentvillas agrees with this.
Surrounding Area:
A bus stop was just a short walk from the villa. This made it so easy to travel to all the spectacular sights on the Amalfi coast and beyond. Between the buses and the train we never had to use our car--a definite plus considering the curvy road along the coast.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Minori is the closest town. Just a 10 minute downhill walk. It is a small town that does have a beach but is not full of tourists like Amalfi and Maiori, the next closest towns. It has a wonderful park along the beach. It is the only place along the coast with Roman villa ruins. The people are very friendly. We were able to get everything we needed for cooking at the local market shops.
Tips or Restaurants:
You don't really need a car. Take the train from Naples or Rome to Salerno, then catch a SITA bus toward Amalfi and get off at the stop by the Best Western. A 5 minute walk back toward town will get you to the villa which is at number 8 on the sea side. Bring bug spray and citronella candles as the mosquitoes and no-seeums are plentiful in the evening! Our favorite restaurant in Minori was Giardiniello, Corso Vitorio Emanuelle 17. A small gelato shop is on the the same street, a little closer to the the main road, was also very good. Just up beyond the Best Western is the restaurant, Il Boschetto, which is owned by Stefano. He serves dishes made with local fish and wine from his father's vineyard.

The owner took me into town to show me the market and introduced me the the owner, good restaurants, and the location of the tourist information office.
