Customer Reviews

Overall:
The flat was ADORABLE. I would DEFINITELY rent through rentvillas.com again. We were very pleased with the experience as well as the apartment-style vacationing. Thank you!
Enjoyed Most:
The women who met us were lovely. Everything was very clean. Excellent location. Just far enough away from the tourists to give you a more local feel, and close enough to the bus that goes throughout Positano to make it accessible. The flat had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a little kitchen with some provisions and a beautiful view. My husband and I would make coffee in the mornings and sit on the balcony. Delightful.
Enjoyed Least:
I wish that the fee for heat had been included in the price. I did know up front that the charge was extra, however.
Tips or Restaurants:
A lot of the restaurants will come to pick you up in their car. They had NO IDEA where the apartment was. There was a Best Western property up the street. We told them that hotel and met them there. My advice? Do NOT rent a car. Have a driver meet you at the airport and pick you up (if you're staying solely on the Amalfi Coast). It is VERY confusing to drive, and there is not much in the way of parking. There is PLENTY of public transportation. Restaurants in the area? -C'era Una Volta: Just up the steps from the flat. Good, solid food, and the waiter complimented my Italian. We went back in the morning for coffee. :) -Da Costantino: Was solidly good. Great? No. But a good, solid Italian meal. -La Tagliata: AMAZING. No menu, just what they have that night. The family who owns it is delightful. They make sure everyone has a good time. -Next 2: Just DOWN the steps from the flat. Delicious, a touch more upscale. I was pleasantly surprised. -Bruno: Sit outside and watch the sun set. We had lunch at Il San Pietro. This is a MUCH cheaper way to see this beautiful hotel. Yum. Any restaurant at the bottom of the town by the beach was, not surprisingly, touristy and expensive. Food was fine, not great. If you go: Capri: We LOVED a little hotel called JK Place for lunch. We happened on it by accident. Sat on the deck, overlooking the Mediterranean and had the most amazing coffee and lunch. Sat for 3 hours. Ravello: The gardens are not to be missed. Breathtaking. And we went off-season, I can not even imagine what they look like in full bloom. Finally, we met a friend. His name is Tony, and he is a taxi driver. However, he also arranged a wine tour for us at Tenuta San Francesco, as well as took us to Ravello, which was the best part of our trip. I HIGHLY recommend him. He is reasonable and just a wonderful person. He is very knowledgeable about the region. We are still in contact. info@positanotonytaxi.com (You will thank me)
