Overall:
We enjoyed our stay with our 2 and 1/2 year old and 5 month old and the property had everything we needed to make our stay easy.
Enjoyed Most:
The terrace and its view.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The twin beds were very hard.
Surrounding Area:
The view of the Isle of Capri.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Termini is the nearest town and the apartment is in the middle of it. 18 stroller friendly steps to the street and parking was right out front on the street.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring beach towels for the beach or the pool.
Da Cardillo in Sant Agata was good for dining in and also did pizzas to go for only 4.50 Euro.
Definitely need a rental car.
Directions:
Directions were very good.
Check In Out:
Valerio checked up on us twice during the week.

Overall:
This is a great spot for a family, as it is very quiet. It has good access to walks, the beach and many scenic views. You can't beat the view from the roof terrace, as a matter of fact. Valerio was very helpful and must live very close, as he appeared instantly whenever we called.
Enjoyed Most:
The attention to detail in the house was a wonder. Valerio and his father have done a beautiful and amazing job in creating a lovely place to stay.
Unpleasant Surprises:
It was very remote and a car is essential. Forget about the bus. It is infrequent, and the Tabbachi is often closed, so there is no place to buy a ticket. We were left standing there in the square by the bus driver who basically said, "no ticket, no ride", even though we explained the situation and offered to pay on the bus or in Sorrento. It was just not possible to use the bus as a viable means of transportation. Having said that, the car rental should be done prior to arrival, as you can get a zero deductible for theft and collision from abroad. We were stuck with a somewhat scary 1000-Euro deductible for theft or damage. The driving itself was not bad, and the best thing to do is park near the spa at the outskirts of Sorrento 7 Euro all day, then walk to the train. Traffic in Sorrento and on to Naples is very congested and takes hours, so it is better to avoid that part.
Surrounding Area:
The hike to Punta Campanella and the beach at Marina Cantone were very fun.
The local people were very friendly and we had a wonderful and entertaining time with them at dinner each night. This was a great experience!
Nearby Events or Locales:
This property is right in Termini and it is a 2-minute walk to the restaurant and grocery store. However, Termini is very small and does not have a square with cafes and so on like I had expected.
Tips or Restaurants:
Eugeneos was authentic, very reasonably priced and friendly. They do not have menus, they just tell you what is for dinner, kick the kids doing homework out of the tables and give you a great dinner. It was very fun.

Location and view.
Unpleasant Surprises:
There is really no comfortable place to sit and read on days when the weather precludes sitting on the deck. Neighborhood is overrun with dogs that bark all night.
Surrounding Area:
Ability to drive to all surrounding towns without trouble.
Tips or Restaurants:
Eugenes in Termini was terrific. Ate there 3 times. Amalfi and Capri were tourists traps and disappointing, especially Amalfi. If going to Amalfi, suggest you take bus out and the boat back from Sorrento. Driving is not bad. Positano was terrific.

Overall:
The pace of life on the peninsula is even slower than in Tuscany. Be prepared for that. The keyholder was very helpful. His English is pretty good, which is an unusual, if not rare, quality on the peninsula. Visit the local beaches. We went to Marina del Cantone three or four times in one week. And the beach at Le Fontane was extraordinary!

Character and location.
Unpleasant Surprises:
You are right in town so it is pretty noisy in the morning.
Surrounding Area:
The beauty of the place. The availability of excellent and reasonably priced food. Convenience of being in town.

The property is in the nearest small town, Termini.
Tips or Restaurants:
Eugenes in Termini is very inexpensive, authentic and casual. La Torre is excellent and in a beautiful spot. La Francesca is very inexpensive, authentic and casual and in a delightful and friendly small town, Schizzano, or something like that.
Directions:
For those of us from places with good signage, adjust your attitude before trying to drive on the peninsula. You WILL get turned around trying to find your way but that's OK - it's Italy.

Enjoyed Most:
There was no garden, but I loved the property. The view off the terrace was unbelievable and the market near the villa was great. You were able to really submerge yourself into their way of life in Termini.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Nothing. Although, if you want to do a lot of cooking make sure you bring/buy a sharp knife.
Surrounding Area:
There is plently to do in the area including beautiful drives to Positano or great hikes around the Amalfi coast.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Nearest small town was Termini, literally a 100-yard walk at the bottom of your steps.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring/buy knives and rent a car.

The propery has a great view of Capri from the rooftop terrace and is very serene.
Surrounding Area:
The little village of Termini is not far from Positano or Sorrento, so you can sightsee without being in the throngs.
Nearby Events or Locales:
There is a small market, a bar and two restraunts within a block.
Tips or Restaurants:
Do not miss Salvatore. the food is exceptional.

Enjoyed Most:
The villa was very clean and newly renovated. The owners paid attention to all the details and furnishings, which were antique. The views and terraces were outstanding. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Only drawback was bus service at night was almost nonexistent. Last bus arrived in town from Sorrento about 8pm.
Surrounding Area:
By publc transportation we were able to get to the Amalfi coast, Sorrento, Marina del Cantone beach, and boats to Capri and Ischia.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The villa was a 2-minute walk to the center of Termini. The town was very small with a pharmacy, grocery store and coffee bar. Bas stop was in the center.
Tips or Restaurants:
It is necessary to have a car if you want to have the ability to go out at night. Sorrento is only a 20 minute drive, but again, the bus service does not run at night.
The restaurant, MiraCapri, is within walking distance and serves delicious food reasonably priced. The proprietor Christina was very welcoming and friendly.

Enjoyed Most:
It would be too difficult to pick only one thing about the property we liked best because we were taken off guard by how lovely and perfect everything was. To describe it would be understating it's beauty, but the home, the verandas, the decor, the furniture were truly charming. It was so clean and we had everything we needed.
Unpleasant Surprises:
It didn't heat well and since we were there in March we used the fireplace often, which by the way, we loved. We could only heat one room at a time to conserve energy and therefore we utilized only one room at a time.
Surrounding Area:
We loved the town of Termini and all the surrounding small towns much better than the hectic crowds of the big city. We were able to truly embrace the culture, the people, and the food which can get diluted in a city with many tourists and tourist trap distractions. We felt we experienced Italy in a way that could not be appreciated in other areas of Italy.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Termini. It was just steps down a charming, rock staircase to the town of Termini which had cafes, restaurants, market, and a beautiful piazza overlooking Capri.
Tips or Restaurants:
Must use the handy housebook. It was our official guidebook and the recommendations were right on. Anyone that stays at the property must refer to this housebook and use it thoroughly. We did and it really made our vacation better than we could have experienced without it. The people that wrote it are very familiar with the area and know all the secrets a traveler should know but would never be told regarding restaurants, places to see, etc. Get a phone card and use pay phones or bring a mobile phone that can be used in Italy. Bring slippers for hard tile floors. Bring DVD's for kids- there is a DVD in the home.
Shop early in the morning or early evening. Everything is closed, other than restaurants, from 12 noon-4pm.
Must eat at Stuzzichino and Ristorante di Mimi both in Sant Agata and both wonderful family-run restaurants with delicious home cooking and fair prices. We also loved Ristorante la Torre in Santa Maria Annunziata. If you're not familiar with what they serve - there are no menus - they treat you like family, and take the liberty of ordering for you the most exquisite meal, also very reasonable. And the best restaurant to eat during the day is in Marina del Cantone and it is called Ristorante il Cantuccio. They have al fresca dining right over the water with the most beautiful cliffs and seascape views.

The house was romantic! And the children 12 and 10 loved it as well. Roof top view was magnificent. We want to go back!

We loved the Sorrento Peninsula. The area on this side is much less touristy than on the Positano side. Although the drive to Amalfi and Positano was amazingly beautiful. Food was great...the limoncello is delicious!
Nearby Events or Locales:
We loved being walking distance just steps! to Termini - a sleepy but lovely village. Beautiful views friendly merchants, adorable restaurants. Salvatore's we like a lot!. And fresh mozzarella every day!

Salvatore's right in town.

Pina was a dear and met us exactly on time - on arrival and on departure!

Overall:
The property was spacious and clean. The living areas and bedrooms were comfortable. We were very pleased. The kitchen was adequately equipped.
Enjoyed Most:
The roof top terrace was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the views. We enjoyed the location in the town of Termini.
Liked Least:
The twin beds.
Surrounding Area:
It is a short drive to most of the towns and beaches in the area. A butcher shop, grocery store, and restaurants were all within a 100 meter walk from the villa.
Events or Locales:
The bus trip from Sorrento to Ravello is a must. The scenery is indescribable! I would not recommend driving it because the driver would miss out on the views. We drove everywhere else with no trouble. The Isle of Capri was our biggest disappointment it is too touristy.
Tips or Restaurants:
Salvatore in Termini was excellent.
