Enjoyed Most:
Absolutely perfect! Can't really think of anything to add - the owners even left us a housewarming basket and a bottle of wine. They take huge pride in their home, and it shows. Everything was spotless! There was a washer-dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, etc.
Unpleasant Surprises:
We have a pool, so we were OK with their explanations of what to do, but I can imagine that if a family didn't have a pool, that they may be nervous. I would suggest instructions, in both French and English, in the event that something goes wrong, or needs looking after.
Again, take extra toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. and a few extra towels.
Surrounding Area:
The wineries, the countryside, the other villages, the daily markets!!!!!!!!!!
Nearby Events or Locales:
Next to Joucas was Gordes, Les Imberts, and Apt was about 17 km away.
Tips or Restaurants:
I would recommend going to Cavaillon for lunch on Mondays market day, lunch at Auberge les Seguins Boux, and dinner at La Farigoule Les Imberts. We loved the Tara Winery, and the market in Roussillon on Thursday.

Overall:
It was a good value. Too many people could be less enjoyable, but for two couples it was a perfect stay. We may go again to this very property!
Enjoyed Most:
For two couples this property was great. Having a partial bath in each bedroom and a toilet on both floors really was a good layout. The patio was great for evening meals!
Unpleasant Surprises:
No negatives!
Surrounding Area:
For a week there was lots to do. We liked the area and the sightseeing. The little store was quaint, and the area street fairs were wonderful.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We are in Joucas a sweet little village, very quiet if that's what you want. For us it was perfect.
Tips or Restaurants:
Gordes which is close is a natural draw. We preferred some of the other villages which were less crowded. The market at Loumarin was great. The nearby winery is a good bet for tasting.
Directions:
The hard part is getting in and out of Avignon. Finding the property was simple! Its right next to the village parking lot by the recycle area. A couple hundred feet on the main street from the store.

Enjoyed Most:
The house was very comfortable and well appointed. It was clean and well kept. The view was magnificent!
Unpleasant Surprises:
Having to water the outdoor plants daily maintain the pool level and clean the filter on the pool.
Surrounding Area:
Everything! The countryside was beautiful, the wines wonderful and the people were very friendly.
Check In Out:
The timing for check in was made extremely clear - however, there was no mention of the time for check out anywhere in the correspondence - hence, we were not ready to check out at 10:00am when the owner arrived. This resulted in a rather hectic departure.
