The sea is close to this villa in Liguria, but the hillside location offers both privacy and peace.

(250 m2) This cozy coastal villa rental was once used as a frantoio, or factory, for the pressing of olive oil. From its hillside location, surrounded by a garden and olive groves, the property offers fantastic views of the village and the seaside. While the autostrada is within ear-shot, barriers have been put up in order to lesson the traffic sounds. From inside the house the sound is barely noticeable.

Ground floor: Upon entering the house there is a large open-plan living/dining room that has been furnished with two comfortable sofas, some chairs, and a dining table with chairs for 6. There is a Satellite TV, CD player and a stereo. There is also a dining table for 6. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Just off the kitchen there is a bathroom with a shower and an ironing room.
First floor: The open staircase (no railing) leads to the bedroom area where there are three bedrooms of which two are queen-size, and one has two twins. One of the doubles can also be separated upon request into two twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a tub (with handheld shower head) and the other with a shower. The villa rental has 3 air conditioning units, and the heating is with radiators.

This ia tough question. There is nothing not to like.
Surrounding Area:
Chiavari is not touristy. People are nice, prices are reasonable. The city gives you a nice base and central to the region. Liguria as a whole is a very worthwhile region of Italy to visit and enjoy. The food is excellent, restaurants and what you purchase in the local stores or supermarkets are very good. The history is rich, and there is a lot to pursue. The beauty of the region is stunning.
Nearby Events or Locales:
You could walk to Lavange. Not worth it though. Walking to Chiavari is much better.
Tips or Restaurants:
Learn to read the international traffic signs as well as the local parking rules, which are sometimes as complicated as Manhattan. A sometimes workable solution is to find a parking area serviced by a local bus and then go to where you want to with the bus.
