- Location Description
This apartment is located in the heart of Barcelona city, on the corner of Ronda San Pere and Paseo de Gracia, near the Plaza Cataluña and Las Ramblas, with all the colorful street performes and the Boqueria market.
From the apartment it is only a short 5 minute walk to the heart of the Gothic Quarter and El Born, a trendy area which is one of Barcelona's oldest neighbourhoods. An intricate maze of plaças and squares are interconnected by narrow, medieval streets where you will find lots of trendy boutiques and great bars, cafés and restaurants.
Nearby Attractions: Barcelona is a mecca of art, architecture, ports, beaches, and restaurants. Ca l’Isidre (reservations required!), offers fresh and traditional Catalan cooking. For a meal of tapas, visit Cal Pep, located near Santa Maria del Mar, Barcelona’s Gothic church. The Bus Turistic (Hop-on/Hop-off tour) offers two lines that stop at over 44 sites within the city. The works of Gaudi, including Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, and Casa Batlló, are not to be missed. Seek out the loop of Carrer dels Escudellers, named for the early potters, and which has an assortment of restaurants, shops and a flea market on Saturdays.

This apartment faces to the back of the building, so for it's central location it is a very quiet apartment! The building has an elevator.

Fourth Floor (with elevator): The living room has a double sofa bed and french doors which open onto the small balcony/terrace, where you will find a table and chairs. There are two bedrooms: the master bedroom has a standard double bed, plenty of wardrobe space, and an en suite bathroom with tub/shower, WC, and sink; the second bedroom is very small, with just a narrow double bed (135x190) and a separate bathroom with a modern shower, WC, and sink. There is also a closet outside of the room.

Wonderful, Clean, and well maintained.
Enjoyed Most:
Location. Supermarket is directly across the street. Metro. Very secure. Bus stops within the same block. Many shops within walking distance. Best to take the 2-day tourist "Hop-on Hop-off" bus, they give a variety of information regarding the area. The book that comes with the pass gives many additional places to see.
Enjoyed Least:
The property is not well suited for 6 people. The second bedroom has NO place to put clothes, only wardrobe is in Master Suite. If the "Pull-out sofa bed" is to be used there will be no room for clothing. But we spent little time actually in the apartment.
Surrounding Area:
Plaza Cataluyna, Les Rambles only 2 blocks away. A variety of ways to see the city and the treasures it holds.
Tips or Restaurants:
You can stop at market across street for anything you need, even ice. There was no toilet paper. There is a small welcome kit that includes shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Also bring your own wash cloth, these are not supplied.
Directions:
You must go to Property Representative office to pick up keys; they will give you map with directions to the apartment. It is about a 3-block walk to the actual apartment.
Check In Out:
It would be better to meet the representative at the apartment. House book is very informational, WiFi connection was fine.

Overall:
The location was very good - very central.
Enjoyed Most:
The location. We did like being close to the center where we could walk to the Gothic Quarter and along las Ramblas.
Enjoyed Least:
It was a real come-down to arrive at this apartment after staying at L'Eixample (also through RentVillas), which was really special. The San Pere was crowded for five people, and we ended up just "camping out" in the space with our stuff spread out all over. The kitchen did not have dish soap for washing dishes, just dishwasher soap. The shower in the main bath leaked and created a lake on the floor.
