A family or group of friends can experience living in Villa Apartments on the Amalfi Coast. Charming apartments in a century old villa set on a lush hillside of the Sorrento peninsula facing the island of Capri. The villa has been restored and converted into four private apartments, of which three are available for rental. This accommodation is a combination of two of the apartments and the third apartment would not be rented separately, when this accommodation is rented. The apartments share the beautiful garden, swimming pool, outside BBQ and nearby parking. Lots of flexibility and a beautiful environment. No air conditioning is necessary because the old walls of the villa are more than 1 meter thick and it is very refreshing during the hot summers. A charming hamlet with two good restaurants and small shops is nearby. The owner recommends a compact car due to the very narrow road leading up to the villa.
LocationDescription
The villa has a quiet country location but is close to many sites on the Amalfi Coast. It has a premiere setting on a wooded Sorrento hillside and overlooks the coastline and Island of Capri. It is possible to take walks through ancient villages, lemon groves, century-old olive groves and native Mediterranean landscape. The villa is 10 minutes away from the town of Massalubrense, which is land of the mythical Ulysses and the Sirens. Massalubrense is a blend of history, art, culture and tradition.

Beautiful century old villa in a wooded hillside on the Sorrento Pennisula. Excellent coastal views. The villa has been restored and converted into four private apartments. There is a lovely garden and large swimming pool and BBQ corner and wood oven that is available for all guests. The shared swimming pool has lounge chairs.

Erica 1: Sleeps 2 - 3 (connected to Erica 2)
There are two floors to this apartment. The first floor has a small kitchen with a balcony and spiral staircase down to the garden and swimming pool. There is also a big living room on the first floor with access to the panoramic terrace that has beautiful views of Capri. The living room has a spiral staircase to the second floor. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. One of the bedrooms has a standard double (145 cm mattress – cozy for two, more comfortable for one person) and the other bedroom has a narrow single bed (80 cm mattress) appropriate for a child. The bathroom has a shower.
Erica 2: Sleeps 4 (connected to Erica 1)
There are two floors to this apartment. The first floor has a hallway, kitchen and living room with fireplace. The living room has a large private terrace with garden furniture and overlooks the Napoli coastline. The spiral staircase leads down to the garden and swimming pool. There are steps to the second floor where two bedrooms and two bathrooms are located. One of the bedrooms has a queen sized bed (160 cm mattress) and the other bedroom has two narrow single beds (80 cm mattress) appropriate for children. The queen sized bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower. There is also another bathroom near the twin bedroom.

- Upon arrival at the property you are required to pay to the property representative a security deposit payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure minus any extra charges or accidental damages to the property. The listed security deposit is: 500 EUR

- Mandatory final cleaning fee: 140 EUR
Other Notes
- Extra maid service is usually available upon request and is paid locally.
- If available, heating is allowed by Italian law only from November 1 to April 1 with exceptions made for extreme weather
- If you arrive outside of the acceptable arrival times you will be charged a late arrival fee
- Clients are expected to depart the property by 9:00 am, unless otherwise indicated.
- If available, cook service must be arranged at least two months prior to arrival and is subject to the availability of the cook.

Overall:
We had an amazing trip to Italy. We were with our two young daughters and my parents. The villa was perfect for our family unit. We had enough separation with the apartment structure, but also were the only family staying. The experience was very authentic. One of our favorite days was spent on a local lemon/olive farm that we walked to from the Villa.
Enjoyed Most:
The grounds were stunning and the pool was very nice and beautifully maintained.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The bathrooms were difficult. We had water pressure and temperature issues. We had issues with the toilets too, but we realize that it is an old villa and by the end of the week, we had most of it figured out.
Surrounding Area:
We loved the farm tour in Schiazzano, which was within walking distance. We also enjoyed the restaurant in Schiazzano. Masa Lubrense was a very charming town and we had a great dinner there.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Schiazzano was the only place within walking distance. There are two restaurants and a store. The people were splendid. But you have to have a car to enjoy the surrounding areas. and we did.
Tips or Restaurants:
Every restaurant we went to was great. It seems impossible to find bad food in Italy! We were told that we didn't have to have a car and that driving would be difficult. The driving was scary, but fun. The roads are only meant for mules - if you ran into another car, you had to pull over and back up to let them by, but a car was absolutely mandatory. Just get a small car - no vans, etc. There is no space for large cars, but we managed to fit 4 adults and 2 kids in our small car. You don't have to drive many miles, but with the roads and the cliffs and curves, it takes quite a while to drive just a few miles.
Directions:
There is no way that you would find this property without the help of the owner. She was wonderful and picked us up and drove us out to the country, where the villa is located. We got a car the next day after we determined that it was absolutely mandatory.
Check In Out:
The owner was extremely helpful and had many great suggestions about what to do in the area.
