The world-renowned towers of San Gimignano can be seen from several kilometers outside the city walls, and the view from this vacation accommodation is truly spectacular. However, what makes this particular vacation rental a treat is that you can walk to San Gimignano from your countryside farmhouse. This is a good choice for a family with young children as there is a bedroom with a set of bunk beds and a yard where they can play.
- Location Description
This estate is located 300 meters from the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano, which dates back to the 10th century. San Gimignano is one of the most visited towns in Tuscany and is full of life and things to do. You are literally steps away from the famous towers, the 12th century Duomo, the People's Palace, and museums dedicated to artwork and archeology. There are also plenty of wine tasting, art galleries, shops, and delicious restaurants. Numerous celebrations and gatherings are held every year including a music festival featuring theater, ballet, and opera performances, and a Medieval Harvest festival where the people of San Gimignano dress up as knights and play medieval games and have tournaments. If you’d like to explore bigger cities in Italy, a local bus can take you to the town of Poggibonsi where there is a train station that can connect you to destinations like Siena, Florence, or Pisa.

- Exterior Description
This property is comprised of a farmhouse and a former barn, and each unit offers its own space and privacy. The property is set in a panoramic location and offers views of the surrounding landscape, which includes the towers and walls of San Gimignano. There is a shared barbecue and swimming pool (6m x 12m) which is open form the beginning of May to the end of September. Please be aware that the owners live on the property grounds and share the swimming pool. Access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road and parking is available within the grounds.

Ground Floor: The front door opens to a landing in which a staircase of six steps leads down to a living area with chairs and satellite TV. A dining area has a table with chairs as well as a kitchen corner equipped with a cook-top and microwave. There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.
First Floor: A staircase leads up to two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed (160 cm). The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds, suitable for children.
