This homey and comfortable house is a pleasant place for a family visiting the Loire Valley any time during the year. Swim in the private pool during the summer, cozy up next to the fire during the winter, and visit ancient cathedrals and chateaux during any season! All the while, you’ll be surrounded by the peaceful countryside of the Loire Valley.

Location Description

The property is located about two kilometers from Nerondes, a village with shops, a supermarket, and weekly Saturday market. For a day trip, visit Nevers, a town with narrow and windy streets that are bordered by houses dating back to the 14th century. In addition to its unique shops and restaurants, the sights in Nevers include the Cathedrale of Saint Cyr-Sainte Juliette and the Ducal Palace, which offers gorgeous views over the Loire Valley. For shopping, visit Rue Francois Mitterand. Nevers also has a train station that can connect you to Paris or Lyon.

Exterior Description

The house is situated on the estate of Chateau de Fontenany and features walking paths. There is a grass-landscaped garden with a table and chairs and a private swimming pool (10m x 5m). Parking is available within the property grounds.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: There is a living room with couches, armchairs, a piano, and fireplace. The dining room has a table and chairs and the kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, microwave, toaster, kettle, and dishwasher. There is one bedroom on this floor with two 90 cm single beds, access to the garden, and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower. There is also a guest bathroom with a sink and toilet.
First Floor: There are two staircases on the ground floor. The first staircase leads up to one bedroom with a 160 cm queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower. The second staircase leads up to three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a 160 cm queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with a handheld shower. The second bedroom has two 90 cm single beds and the third bedroom has a set of bunk beds (suitable for young people). There is a third bathroom with a sink, tub with a handheld shower, and separate toilet room.
