Location Description

Conveniently located 2.5 km from Amalfi, this villa is 1 km away from a pebble beach, Castiglione di Ravello. This is a picturesque half-moon shaped beach, nestled in a little bay surrounded by a high stretch of coast. The beach is accessible from the road and a public stairway consisting of approximately 180 stone steps. During the summer months a bar and umbrella and sun lounger rental facilities are open. An important trading center from the 9th to 13th centuries, Amalfi is surrounded by striking cliffs and coast. Among many shops and cafes you will enjoy the lovely architecture, including the Duomo in the center of town (with Asian influences) and the Cloister of Paridise, which takes a cue from Arabian styles. There is also a museum dedicated to the works of Morelli and a museum where you can view artifacts of Amalfi's long and interesting history. From the ports of Amalfi and Positano, ferries, hydrofoils and mini-cruises leave daily to Positano (20 min.) and other places along the coast, Salerno (1 h.) and Naples (2 h), the islands of Capri (1 ½ h) and Ischia (2 ½ h) The bus stop which connects Amalfi , Ravello and Sorrento is about 800 meters away and enables you to easily reach all the towns along the coast.

Exterior Description

(180 m2) The villa features a fenced garden of 100 square meters, partly shaded by a lemon pergola and olive trees and partly paved with terracotta tiles. The terrace is equipped with a dining table, deck-chairs, sunshades, a BBQ and an outdoor shower. An attic terrace affords 180 degree views over Amalfi's bay. There are stunning views of the Lattari Mountains, dotted with lemon trees and vineyards, steeply plunging into the sea and enclosing the narrow valleys of the villages of Minori and Maiori, as well as of the picturesque inlets of the coast, visible up to Capo D'Orso. The villa’s free parking lot, with spots for two medium sized cars, has an external staircase of about 40 small steps leading to the main entrance. Please note that the private parking space of the villa is accessed by a narrow steep driveway located only a few meters down from the street level.

Interior Description

(120 m2) The house has two floors, each one with direct entry from outside.
Ground Floor: There are two entrances, with the main entrance of the property off the garden/terrace. Enter straight into the large open planned dining and lounge area. The living area is furnished with a large sofa seating 6 people, an open marble fireplace, a flat screen satellite TV, a window overlooking the sea and a back door with access to the garden. The dining area is furnished with wood dining table, benches, chairs seating 6 people and an antique sideboard. The kitchen, with an open arch facing the living/dining room, is fully equipped with 4 gas rings, a grill plate, 2 fridges (one small and one medium sized with freezer) dishwasher, microwave, Italian coffee maker and electric oven. The laundry room has a washing machine, iron and ironing board and there is a large bathroom with windows facing the garden, with a sink, toilet, shower and bidet. The first double bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm), wardrobe and windows overlooking the garden. This bedroom has an en suite guest bathroom with toilet, bidet and sink. Please note there is no tub or shower.
First Floor: Reached by a staircase of 17 small steps, this floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm), a wardrobe, a dresser and French doors opening onto a private balcony with a view of the sea. The second bedroom has two single beds (which can be combined to form a queen- size bed upon request), a wardrobe, a dresser and a window with sea views. The bathroom is equipped with a large shower, sink, and toilet. Both the bedrooms and the bathroom are accessible via a corridor which has also a back entrance directly accessible from outside.

• Window screens are in all rooms on the ground floor.
• Two hours of housekeeping, two days a week & linen changes on Saturday and Wednesday are included in the rate. A gardening service is included as well.
• The ensuite bathroom in the ground floor bedroom does not have a tub or a shower, only a toilet and sink.
