Come to an Amalfi Coast accomodation in a place where people live as they always have: old women dressed in black carry baskets of freshly picked vegetables, while men play bocce ball in a dusty field. The views from this Ravello accommodation are sensational: terraced vineyards surround old farmhouses sloping down to the sea; the chime of bells can be heard echoing from nearby churches.

Overall:
The pictures on your site were very true to what everything looked like. It was a great location for walks to various towns and sites.
Enjoyed Most:
Although all the steps could be daunting, especially at age 71, we enjoyed living among the town folk. Property was very nicely furnished with a lovely old dresser, small
desk, and china cupboard with drawers. Glass top tables and desk area plus many quality mirrors enhanced the decor.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Washin machine in bathroom made the room very crowded. We didn't use it since there were no instructions in English. However, the shower was excellent!
Steps into the kitchen are rather steep.
Surrounding Area:
The weather was perfect - a bit chilly or warm, but never cold or hot!
Ravello or Torello is ideal for touring. Can always walk down to coast and catch a bus for 1 Euro to other coastal villages and catch another bus back to Ravello. Ravello itself has two villas to tour, a lovely church, and piazza with shops and outdoor eating areas. We enjoyed just sitting and people watching at the end of the day. Town's younger children come there to ride their bikes and play. There were tour buses and cruise ships in the area. Ravello was the least crowded of the major tourist sites.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Ravello is closest and within walking distance if you are fit and able to walk 400 to 450 steps. My husband walked it many times. I chose to go by car most of the time. Minori is a little further but all downhill or down steps. Ravello as a town is a lot more attractive.
Tips or Restaurants:
There is a new hair dryer, so no need to bring one. Markets are hard to find or park near. The restaurants in Ravello that overlook Torella have great views and good food.

Overall:
This is good area to come and relax if you are looking for a peaceful break, although at the height of the season it can be busy. Judging by the number of hotels, it is still a good place to come and relax with plenty of villages and towns along the coast. If you are nervous driver, don't drive. The roads are narrow and twisty and the locals know them well.
Enjoyed Most:
The views are excellent as is the general location in the Amalfi area. The living room area is very comfortable as is the patio overlooking the coast. The agents for the property were very helpful and welcoming.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The electrical wiring was not good and the fireplace had no ash collector and therefore not usable. This was a shame, given that we were there late in the season in November, when it gets a bit cooler.
Surrounding Area:
Spectacular views, peaceful. The local bar was excellent for some less quiet moments! Italian people are always friendly with good food and wine.

Overall: Unfortunately we had loud neighbors which made our stay not as pleasant as it could have been. Surrounding Area: The surrounding area was great! The town of Ravello was friendly, quaint, and wonderfully situated above the hustle and bustle of the coast. Access to other areas such as Pompeii and Capri was fine. Sometimes the driving was a little exciting but all in all I would reccommend the area as a must-see part of the world. Nearby Events or Locales: There is a ton of stuff to do in the area, just visiting with the locals was fun. Great wine, cheese and resturants abound. The trip over the mountains to Naples is breath taking and should not be missed.
