Wonderful stone farmhouse that has been recently and tastefully restored preserving its original structure and turned into a beautiful independent villa. The house is situated among the hills overlooking the famous medieval town Cortona in very quiet location and has enchanting views over Lake Trasimeno and the Chiana Valley. Distances: a food shop is at 500 m, Cortona about 2 km, Arezzo about 30 km, Perugia and Siena are within 50 km, Lake Trasimeno with its equipped beaches about 18 km. A tennis court is about 2 km from the villa far away. Access to the property through an asphalted road. At guests' disposal: large, beautiful terraced garden equipped with garden furniture and private swimming-pool (10 x 5 m - open from 01/06 to 28/09) set in panoramic location overlooking Lake Trasimeno and the Chiana Valley. Parking in the property. Telephone. Iron at the guests' disposal. Possibility of renting a baby bed upon request (€ 52 / per week to be paid on the spot). Maid service available upon request (€ 8 / per hour to be paid on the spot). The villa is beautifully furnished with ancient terracotta tile floors and antique pieces of furniture.

Overall:
Great place to stay, wish we had more time. Our hosts were very helpful. We would definitely recommend it!
Enjoyed Most:
Everything was amazing, but the best would have to be the comfortable look and feel of an old but extremely well kept villa.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The bathroom towels could have been a little better quality.
Surrounding Area:
Visiting all of the shops and restaurants. Walking through the old narrow streets of Cortona.
Tips or Restaurants:
We read the small booklet provided by your firm and it gave us all we needed to know about what to bring and customs of the area. Our hosts told us about a very good and moderately priced restaurant - Il Cacciatori.
Directions:
We had a little trouble at first finding the right road to exit the highway.
Check In Out:
Even though our hosts did not speak much English we got by without any problems.

Overall:
The property exceeded even our most optimistic expectations. The house was cozy, charming and clean with ample character. We loved the large kitchen -- lots of space for the cooks in our group to collaborate without cramping each other. The grounds were well maintained and lovely, and the views were stunning.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The bathing facilities. Though they were lovely, it was a challenge for some to shower without soaking the bathroom.
Tips or Restaurants:
We were pleased with nearly every restaurant we tried in Cortona. Favorites included Osteria del Teatro, Trattoria Dardano and
Preludio. Pasticceria Banchelli was terrific as were many of the local enoteche we visited.

Overall:
This was our first place and we loved the stone work in the
house and the privacy.
Enjoyed Most:
The yard was nice - odd that the views were
obstructed.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The interior design, furnishings were ample but not comfortable or charming. Dark interior. The bathrooms were minimal and poorly designed.
