This beautiful luxury property (1 hectare of land), located in the heart of the Périgord Noir region, combines the charm of a private property and the comfort of a four-star hotel. It is located near Les Eyzies and the Vézéré Valley, known for its prehistoric caves. From the hillside property there is a wonderful view of the Vézéré Valley. There is tennis available about 500 meters away, and there are two 18-hole golf courses within an easy drive. All daily services, such as housekeeping and/or the services of a chef, are available upon request. The garden, with night lighting, has oak trees, lavender, and rose bushes. The covered, enclosed (with windows) and heated pool (4m x 7m x 1.4m), is located inside the house. It has night lighting and a shower, as well as a hammam. The garden furniture includes deck chairs, lounge chairs and cushions. There are covered parking spaces for six cars.

(550 m2) Ground floor: From the courtyard is the entrance to the entrance hall where there is a telephone/fax. Next there is a dining room with a large table for 12. On the left there is a living room with a fireplace and a library, WC. The furniture and decoration, composed of old and new elements, is perfectly harmonised. There is a guest bathroom with WC and sink. From the living room or the dinning room there is access to the terrace or to the patio, where there is teak furniture for outside dining. From the patio there is access to the all ground floor rooms, as well as the swimming pool. Also on the ground floor, there are five bedrooms with en suite bathroom. Four of the bedrooms have queen-size beds, each with bathrooms with tub (with handheld shower head) and separate WCs. The fifth bedroom is handicap-equipped, and has two attached single beds and a bathroom with shower and WC. First floor (15 steps): There is a sixth bedroom with three single beds and an en suite bathroom with tub (with handheld shower head) and separate WC. This bedroom has views of the park, the river and the patio, as well as a small kitchen with refrigerator and hot plate, a sitting area and a study. All of the bedrooms have a different theme and décor. In addition, in each bedroom are a Satellite TV and a telephone. Also on the first floor there is a living room with a wide screen Satellite TV, a DVD player and a French billiard table. This room has large windows opening onto the pool. Basement: There is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.
The amenities include: oven, microwave, American refrigerator, American coffee maker, ice maker, toaster, dishwasher, CD player, radio, Satellite TV, Internet access, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, 2 fans, wood for the fireplace, barbecue, fax, telephone, answering machine, and baby bed. Overall:
It really was wonderful in every way and we would happily recommend it to anyone. A perfect family vacation home.
Enjoyed Most:
Everything about it was terrific - the location, view, comfort, size. But that heated, indoor pool was amazing! It was great to have a swim after a hard day of sight-seeing.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The fact that there were not showers in all the bathrooms.
Surrounding Area:
All there is to see and do. We loved the prehistoric cave paintings, the Sarlat market, Castlenaud, La Roque Gageac.
Tips or Restaurants:
We brought all we were told to bring and felt very well outfitted. As for restaurants, we had a special birthday dinner at La Terrasse in Domme, which is a charming town about an hour away.
