This villa is situated in Miramar, just above the village of Théoule-sur-Mer. The center of Théoule-sur-Mer is a 5-minute drive from the villa. There are a few shops, cafes and a tourist office in town. There are great restaurants in the hotels along the Riviera. It is only a fifteen minute drive to Cannes. The nearest exit from the autoroute is Mandelieu, providing easy access to the many sites of the Cote d'Azur and Provence.

This luxurious stone Provençal villa is surrounded by the stunning red cliffs of the Estérel and offers breathtaking views towards Cannes and Les Iles de Lérins. There is a beautifully landscaped garden with olive trees, palm trees, jasmine, lavender, roses, vegetables, and herbs and an elegant terracotta terrace surrounding the villa's private heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The view of the French Riviera is exquisite.

The décor is a mixture of traditional French style and textiles, with modern amenities and fabrics.
Ground Floor: There is a full size kitchen with three refrigerators, a microwave, and all fully modernized facilities, where the villa's professional chef prepares a myriad of some of the finest French cuisine, including many of his own recipes. There is a dining room with a large table for twelve people and French doors opening onto a terracotta patio for al fresco dining. The first bedroom, Chambre de Tulipe, is a spacious room with a double bed which can be separated into twin beds, and an en-suite bathroom with both bath and separate shower. French doors open onto the patio offering a stunning view. The second bedroom, Chambre de Shell, has its own entrance off the pool patio and an en-suite bathroom with both a bath and separate shower. Both bathrooms have colorful hand painted tiles and individually controlled electric heat and air.
First Floor: Walking in through the main entrance there is a small office with internet connection and fax machine. There is a light and spacious living room equipped with cable TV, DVD, VCR, and stereo. The living room opens to a large upper terrace, which has a tranquil seating area and panoramic views. The master bedroom, Chambre de Bouquet, has two sets of French doors opening onto the large upper terrace. There is an en suite bathroom with a panoramic view of the sea and islands.
There are two upper bedrooms which are accessed by a separate entrance, giving utmost privacy. Both Chambre de Sunlight and Chambre de Sunrise have queen-size beds and en suite bathrooms with showers with delightful hand painted finishes. The bed in Chambre de Sunlight can be turned into two twin beds upon request.
There are well-equipped staff quarters with a separate entrance.

Available amenities: Central heating and air conditioning in all rooms, with thermostatic controls in each room so guests can adjust to their individual needs. The bathrooms also have individually controlled electric heat and air. There is a digital telephone exchange with telephones in every bedroom and in communal areas; a washing machine and tumble dryer; wine cellar; pétanque court; security gate; burglar alarm; and parking for three cars. There is a full time professional chef and a live-in housekeeper/gardener. The staff have one day off each week. Two meals a day (breakfast buffet and either lunch or dinner) will be provided; additional meals are an extra cost.
Extra services: Nanny services can be organized upon request. Food and beverage costs, telephone and fax charges, personal laundry, cars/transportation, and heating of the pool above 75 F degrees (May – September) are extra costs NOT included in the rental price.

Enjoyed Most:
Overall the experience was great. The villa had good space to accomodate both family members and guests. It was clean, comfortably furnished and the view was spectacular. The staff was attentive and did everything they could to make us welcome. Nice touches were the fresh fruit and flowers as well as the small plate of fruit and cookies left each evening. The cooking was superb and beautifully presented. Fred went out of his way to seek our preferences and try to tailor the menus to our tastes. Most meals were outside overlooking the sea, which is hard to beat.
Unpleasant Surprises:
My least favorite aspect to the villa was the fact that we were unable to walk to town and had to drive to do anything which I suppose is the tradeoff for the view and location.

The stay there was definitely memorable.

Excellent views of the coastline and of Cannes.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Occasionally bothersome traffic noises from motorbikes on the roadway near the house.

Miramar appeared to be the closest small town. Restaurants required a short drive.
Tips or Restaurants:
The best cuisine was actually at the villa---the chef is very talented, eager to accommodate individual requests, and very nice.

Overall:
It is on the top 5 vacation's I've ever taken, and one of the best villas I've ever rented. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

The comfortable villa!! Felt like home and the staff made it even more perfect.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Can't think of a thing.
Surrounding Area:
We traveled the surrounding area every day. I almost wish we could have spent more time at the villa but there is so much to do, so many great little villages to visit.
Tips or Restaurants:
We celebrated Christmas there so we brought along all that kind of thing. Everything is there, so you don't need anything, and if you do, Fred and staff are so accommodating to find it for you.
