The accommodation has been tastefully renovated with valuable materials, in a way that has skilfully mixed modern characteristics with old-fashioned elements. From all of the windows and in particular from the terrace, you can enjoy a incredible view of the rooftops and the canals.

ACCOMMODATION: 3rd fl.: living/dining room (TV) with fireplace and kitchenette open over the dining room (oven, freezer, dishwasher), 1 double bedroom with WC, 1 double bedroom with a romantic four-poster bed, 1 bathroom with shower, store-room (washing machine). 4th fl. (accessed by a spiral staircase from the living room): attic with beautiful interlacing beams and furnished with divan, desk and stereo and access onto the equipped terrace for spending relaxing moments outdoors. Very comfortable and modern furniture. Due to the stairs, the outdoor areas, the low beams of the attic and the furnishings, access to this house is not advised for children younger than 12 years old. Central heating.
LOCATION: Just a few minutes from the steamer-bus stop for the islands of the lagoon and for Piazza San Marco.

Overall:
The folks who took care of the property were very friendly and helpful. The owners speak English and are full of practical advice.
Enjoyed Most:
It was very beautifully remodeled and furnished modern. The windows had SCREENS!! The neighborhood was convenient to Vapparetto, but still out of the way. We could feel that we were living with Venetians.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The kitchen was not really conducive to actual meal preparation. It was well stocked with utensils, though. While the supermarket was very adequate, I would have liked to have a bakery and butcher closer to the property.
Surrounding Area:
There was a great supermarket and a fantastic restaurant within walking distance. Such fun to lean out of the window and watch the boats and people on the canal.
Tips or Restaurants:
The neighborhood has many many restaurants within walking - even Chinatown!!
We had one of our best meals in Italy just down the block by the bridge. To avoid tourists eat late!
Directions:
We walked from the train station and it wasn't impossible. But if you have a lot of luggage and or children take the vaparetto and just follow the directions. The owners are reachable by cell phone and will also guide you.
Check In Out:
The folks who took care of the property checked us out early so that we could get to the airport early on Saturday morning.
