Customer Reviews
Overall:
We had a lovely time at Villa Modica. The location was great for seeing the sights of the Val di Noto, and Giorgio was the nicest possible host.
Enjoyed Most:
The quiet location with convenient proximity to Modica.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The living area was kind of small.
Surrounding Area:
All of the cities in Southern Sicily, the agriculture.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Modica was not within walking distance, but it was a very quick drive.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring a flashlight if you plan to arrive after dark. La Gazza Ladra, a Michelin one star restaurant in Modica, was excellent.
Directions:
The owner stayed in contact via cell phone and came to rescue us when we got lost. And, due to two very delayed flights, we didn't get to Modica until 2 am, and he gamely waited up all of that time to take care of us.
Check In Out:
I just can't say enough about how nice Giorgio is.

Overall:
I would not hesitate to suggest it to friends.
Enjoyed Most:
Location, layout and setting. It should be mentioned that the landlord could not have been nicer.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The living room was a bit small - it was hard for all of us to congregate.
Surrounding Area:
The small towns.
Nearby Events or Locales:
There was nothing within practical walking distance, but we all had cars so that was no hardship.
Tips or Restaurants:
Il Torre Orientale and the Trattoria il Torre are both excellent. The first was from a US friend the second from our landlord.
Directions:
The key was being able to call from Modica, so that the owner could come and lead us to the villa, as it would have been difficult to locate on our own.
Check In Out:
Simple, easy, no hassles.
