Overall:
We had a great time in the villa. Everything we needed was there. Alessandro was a perfect host. Wine and a generous snack were waiting our arrival.
Enjoyed Most:
We were a party of 9. The villa had plenty of room. Each couple had their own room and bath. There was enough common area to allow for conversation or quiet reading. We had a pizza party with Alessandro, the chef. Very good and lots of fun
Surrounding Area:
Convenient to most anywhere we wanted to go. Nice (but steep) walking area.
Nearby Events or Locales:
You can walk to Subbiano--good shopping and train available.

Overall:
We had a wonderful time. The outside area was great. The pool was clean and wonderful. The villa was large and spacious.
Enjoyed Most:
The management was the best. Alessandro was friendly and was very charming. The family had snacks for us on arival. They went out of their way to make the trip a great experience. We watched the family pick the grapes and make the wine from them at the villa.
Enjoyed Least:
The computer did not work. It was old and I think the hard drive was bad. We could not find ice to purchase and there were no ice trays. Editor's Note: The owners plan to buy a new computer for the 2013 season. Dec 2012.
Surrounding Area:
The location was good for most traval to many Tuscany cities. The nearby town was great (Subbiano) The Monday we got there we were lucky to see a yearly festival and it was so much fun. There was a big parade and free wine and dancing.

Overall:
Outstanding.
Enjoyed Most:
Everything, including the owners and the fabulous meals they prepare.

Dogs barking.

Tips or Restaurants:
Bring ear plugs for dogs. The BEST meals where the ones the owner prepared (she is a fabulous cook and an outstanding LADY).
Directions:
We used a GPS and had no problems.

Overall:
Wonderful--the location was perfect. We were secluded yet we could walk to Subbiano which had a fantastic outdoor market, a grocery store, some great restaurants and the bus and train station.
Enjoyed Most:
The view was breathtaking and the property was very private. What I actually liked most was this little dirt road in back of our villa. It was quite a steep hill, but we climbed it and the views at the top were unreal!!! And, we actually walked around a lot of farms where they were harvesting olives. The road actually looped back to town in a 4 mile circle. Spectacular!
Enjoyed Least:
We did have a dog that liked to bark in the middle of the night nearby.
Surrounding Area:
We felt very comfortable walking to Subbiano and everyone in town that we ran into was very friendly and helpful.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Subbiano was the nearest and it was a very easy walk and it had everything we needed and more.
Tips or Restaurants:
The villa was full of converters, so that would be something that they would not have to pack. There was a fantastic restaurant in Subbiano run by a young couple--of course, I can't remember the name!!! It has a little gazebo out front.
Directions:
We had a driver from Florence and he had no problem finding it.
Check In Out:
Giovanna and Roberto had a nice snack waiting for us and showed us around. We checked out a day early and they had no problem accommodating us.

Overall:
Wonderful - it could not have been better... except that our son was not able join us and experience this memorable vacation.
Enjoyed Most:
The house was beautiful; the view from the vineyard was spectacular; it was extremely peaceful; the pool was perfect; the hosst that greeted us were charming and very responsive and greeted us with a lovely repast.
Enjoyed Least:
Nothing.
Surrounding Area:
The restaurants, food and countryside.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Subbiano was within walking distance
Tips or Restaurants:
Plan on staying more than one week. There is so much to see and do, not to mention just enjoying the villa.
