A short drive will offer you the pleasure of exploring the traditional Cretan town of Adele (population under 400) and its clear, sandy beach, while a slightly farther ride will take you into Rethymnon.

Location Description

At this Greek island villa in Crete, you'll find yourself 3 km from the tiny village of Adele, where there are picturesque houses, historical churches, and traditional coffee shops aplenty. Adele is also the perfect place from which to base your explorations of the island, as it offers easy access to roads leading to several major destinations. You’ll want to go into Rethymnon a time or two to sample Cretan cuisine and visit the sixteenth century Venetian Fortezza, imposing in itself but also the location of the annual Rethymnon Renaissance Festival. If you’re interested in the history of the island you may want to stop at the Historical and Folk Art Museum for a taste of traditional Cretan ceramics, textiles, artifacts, jewelry, and clothing from across the centuries.

Exterior Description

(1000 m2) In this calm, panoramic location you will be able to look out over olive plantations to the sea. Trees, flowers, and a wall separate you from the nearest house, which is 50 meters away. The private swimming pool, 32 meters square, has a wading area for children, and you also have a barbecue area on the surrounding terrace. The stone patio area is accented by a well-landscaped garden and lawn. Stone walls are built around the villa grounds, providing security and privacy. The local property representative will meet you at a prearranged place and guide you to the villa. At that point (or, if your arrival time is late, the following day), the representative will answer any questions and introduce you to the spectacular island of Crete. A representative will also remain available on a 24-hour help line for any further assistance you might need.

Interior Description

(160 m2)
Ground Floor: Step into this vacation villa through a solid wooden door, reached by either stairs or a wheelchair-accessible ramp. Just past the entryway you'll find a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower, constructed with wheelchair users in mind. Past the bathroom is the living room, with a fireplace, a satellite TV, two couches, and a dining area with seating for six. Sliding doors on the opposite end of the room lead out onto a large veranda. Next to the living room is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stove, oven, fridge, and microwave. Beyond this is a bedroom furnished with two large 100 cm twin-beds.
First Floor: Upstairs, the first floor has a master bedroom with a small king-sized (175 cm) bed and a sliding door leading out onto a veranda. This bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom with toilet, sink, and round Jacuzzi tub. Next to the master bedroom is another bedroom, this one with a large queen-sized bed (165 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet. This room also has a sliding door leading to the same veranda as the master bedroom. This balcony offers panoramic views of the sea to the left and of the mountain covered with olive trees on the right.
Basement Level: Downstairs from the ground floor you'll find a single large bedroom with an adjacent bathroom including sink, toilet, and shower. Here there are two twin-beds (75 cm each) and a sliding door leading out to a paved stone patio.
