A great Italian apartment for a family, you and your loved ones will be able to explore the little town of Bonassola on foot, while the rest of the Cinque Terre is easily accessible by train. After a day exploring all of the nooks and crannies of this fascinating corner of the globe, you can retire for a cool drink and a barbecue on one of the terraces of this Cinque Terre accommodation-- your home away from home!

Location Description

This apartment is located in the village of Bonassola, just a short walk from the beach. Bonassola is a charming little fishing village along the Cinque Terre-- often referred to as the Sixth Terra. The house is a few minutes' walk from the beach, restaurants, shops, bars, and bakeries that supply the famous fresh Focaccia Ligure. A train line running from Genoa to La Spezia stops in Bonassola, making it easy to visit the five towns of the Cinque Terre (about 10-15 minutes) as well as Genoa and La Spezia. There are also picturesque walking paths connecting the towns, great for a days' hike! Another great way to admire the coastline is to hop on one of the many ferries running between the towns. Genoa, purported birthplace of Christopher Columbus, is recently experiencing a revival in popularity. UNESCO has added the city to its list of World Heritage Sites because of its numerous palazzi. There is also a cathedral, the second-largest aquarium in the world, and an opera house. Genoa's most famous landmark is its medieval gates, flanked by two crenellated towers.

Exterior Description

A path of broad stone steps leads up to this villa from the parking area on the street, opening into a nice garden with a panoramic view of the gulf and the village of Bonassola. Around the other side of the villa, just outside the kitchen, is a shaded terrace. Yet another terrace is located on the upper level, fully equipped for dining and with even better views! The house also has a reserved parking spot in the garage, from which twelve steps lead up into the kitchen. As this house is also within an easy walk of the beach, it is possible to rent a cabana with sun umbrellas and chairs near the water. Please be aware that although the outdoor areas are private, this villa also contains two other fully independent apartments, one of which is inhabited by the caretaker and his wife. Please also note that this apartment is 300 meters from the train station, but experiences very little associated noise.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: This villa opens into a living room which looks out onto the front garden, where there is a table for dining al fresco. The living area has a couple of couches and chairs, a fireplace, a small TV (local channels only), and a folding dining table. The kitchen, which opens onto the back terrace, is equipped with a dishwasher, toaster, cook-top, oven, and Italian coffee maker. There is also one bedroom with a single bed and a door opening onto the garage-side of the house. The bathroom has a sink, toilet, and shower.
First Floor: Here you will find three bedrooms. The first and second bedrooms each have a 160 cm queen-size bed that can be split into two singles upon request. The third bedroom has one single bed. They share a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and tub with handheld showerhead.
Second Floor: Six steps up from the first floor, this level has another large living room with a sofa and a dining table for six. This room opens onto a panoramic terrace. A second kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher. There is also a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.
