Location Description

This property is located a straight, ten-minute drive from Sinalunga, making it easy to find your way into town and back again in the evening. Sinalunga is a medium-sized town with all of the typical resources, including restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. Midway between Siena and Perugia, this is an excellent location for either relaxing or heading out to explore the wonders of southern Tuscany. And because you're also near the A1 (Tuscany's primary highway), it's a straight shot north to Florence. Within an easy drive you'll find Cortona, a city that has changed very little in the last 400 years. There is no end to picturesque streets and amazing historic buildings. Tour frescoed churches from the 13th century; explore the original city walls; see an art exhibit in the 16th century fortress. You can also visit the local museums and libraries, tiptoe around ancient monasteries and tombs dating back to the second century B.C. Dine on the best Tuscan dishes as you look out on an historic palazzo or drive out to one of the villas dotting the countryside. As for shopping, you'll find local handicrafts, antiques, and of course local wines and olive oils that simply outdo anything you've ever tasted!

Exterior Description

This is one of five apartments within a group of three buildings. The apartments share a nice spacious property which includes various outdoor areas for lounging and eating, large lawns, flowering gardens, and a beautiful swimming pool (7m x 15m). The property (primarily the pool area) has a wonderful view over the countryside. A gravel parking lot is available for cars, and a gate leads into the property, which is protected by a friendly dog. This property also has the convenience of an on-site reception, where visitors can browse the internet, ask the manager questions about the local area, or consult guidebooks available on the bookshelves. The managers are also happy to recommend good restaurants and make reservations. A gravel parking lot is available for cars.

Interior Description

First Floor: This large first floor apartment is located in the main building, above the reception office. An external staircase leads up to a small portico outside the front door. Inside, you will find yourself in a comfortable, spacious living room with a couple of armchairs, a fireplace, satellite TV, and a long wooden bench-style dining table. To the right of the front door is the separate kitchen, very well equipped with an oven, cook top, toaster, and American coffee maker. There are two master bedrooms, accessed on either side of the fireplace. One has a queen-size bed (160 cm) and an en suite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and bathtub. The other has a queen-size bed (160 cm) and an en suite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. There is also a third bedroom with two single beds (90 cm).
